Hello friends welcome to zoology museum Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Dranuculus, a fascinating worm found in freshwater environments. My elongated body helps me navigate through sediment, searching for food. I play a vital role in breaking down organic matter, enriching the soil. I can regenerate lost segments, a remarkable ability among annelids. My diet consists of decaying leaves and organic materials, making me a detritivore. I help aerate the soil, improving water infiltration for plants. I thrive in damp habitats, often found under leaf litter or in moist soil. My presence indicates a healthy ecosystem, contributing to nutrient cycling. I communicate with others through chemical signals in my environment. I’m proud to play my part in maintaining the health of my habitat. Thank you visit again.
