Dracunculus
Dracunculus
Hello friends Welcome to zoology museum, Shri Shivaji Science College Nagpur. I am Dracunculus, commonly known as the Guinea worm, and I lead a life that many find disturbing. My existence is spent as a parasite within a host, usually a human. I grow long and thin inside, causing painful sores as I prepare to emerge. When the time is right, I find my way out through the skin, often leaving my host in agony. My larvae are released into water, where tiny crustaceans swallow me, waiting for the next host to continue my life cycle. Thank you visit again.
