Porpita 

Hello friends welcome to Zoology Museum Shri Shivaji Science college, Nagpur. I am Porpita, commonly called the blue button. I resemble a jellyfish but am actually a colonial hydrozoan. I float on the ocean surface, using my flat, disc-shaped body. I have a vibrant blue or yellow color. I have tiny tentacles that sting and capture prey. I feed on small planktonic organisms. I’m often mistaken for my relative, the Portuguese Man o' War. I drift with ocean currents, often forming blooms. I’m found in warm, tropical, and subtropical waters. I’m a fascinating example of colonial organization in marine life. Thank you visit again
