Woodpecker

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.I am a woodpecker, known for my ability to peck at wood.My beak is strong and chisel-like for drilling into trees.I have a specialized tongue to extract insects from bark.My stiff tail feathers provide support while climbing.My diet includes insects, nuts, and berries.I have zygodactyl feet, with two toes facing forward and two backward.I play a crucial role in controlling insect populations and creating habitats for other species.
