Hello Friends, Welcome To Zoology Museum, Shri Shivaji Science College Nagpur. I am Synaptura, a flatfish that lies on the seafloor, blending in with my surroundings. Both of my eyes are located on one side of my body, helping me spot predators and prey while I remain camouflaged. I am a bottom-dweller, feeding on small invertebrates, and my flattened body allows me to ambush unsuspecting prey. My coloration matches the sandy or muddy sea floor, providing excellent camouflage. I reproduce by laying eggs in the water, and my larvae eventually settle on the sea bottom. My asymmetrical body is a key feature, with one side always facing upward. Thank you visit again.
