Hello friends, welcome to zoology museum, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I’m a mantis, a stealthy and patient predator. I have large, compound eyes that give me great vision. My front legs are like claws, perfect for catching prey. I’m known for my ‘praying’ posture – that’s how I wait for prey. I turn my head to look around, unlike most insects. My wings help me glide but aren’t strong for long-distance flight. I’m a master of camouflage, hiding from both prey and predators. I lay my eggs in a foamy mass that hardens to protect them. Some of my species practice cannibalism, especially during mating. Thankyou visit again.
