Gryllotalpa

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Gryllotalpa, commonly known as the mole cricket.I have powerful forelegs adapted for digging.My body is cylindrical and covered in fine hairs.I live underground, creating extensive burrow systems.I produce a distinctive chirping sound by rubbing my wings together.I lay eggs in underground chambers.I can cause damage to crops and lawns, making me a pest in agricultural areas.
