Marphysa

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Marphysa, a genus of large marine polychaete worms.I have a segmented body with bristles on each segment.I live in burrows or under rocks in shallow coastal waters.I have strong jaws for feeding and defense.I reproduce by releasing gametes into the water.I am important in marine food webs as both predator and prey.
