Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.I am Varanus, commonly known as the monitor lizard.I have a long neck, powerful limbs, and a strong tail.I am known for my keen sense of smell, using my forked tongue to detect scents.I inhabit a variety of environments, from deserts to forests.I have a robust, muscular body capable of great strength.I am solitary and territorial, often defending my home range.I am revered and sometimes feared in local cultures and myths.
