Salmophasia dupeoides (Cyprinid Fish)
Hello friends welcome to Zoology Museum Shri Shivaji Science college, Nagpur. I’m Salmophasia dupeoides, a small cyprinid fish. I’m commonly found in freshwater rivers and streams in South Asia. I have a slender, elongated body with silver scales. I thrive in slow-moving or stagnant waters. I feed primarily on insects, algae, and small invertebrates. My population is affected by changes in water quality and habitat. I have a large eye, which helps me spot predators and prey. I’m an essential part of the food web in freshwater ecosystems. I swim in schools, which provides safety in numbers. I’m studied for my adaptability to various freshwater habitats. Thank you visit again.
