Megalopa larva
Megalopa larva
Hello friends, Welcome to zoology museum, Shri Shivaji Science College Nagpur. I am Megalopa Larva, the second stage in the development of a crab. My body is still elongated, with a tail that I will eventually lose as I transition into the adult stage. I have well-developed legs and claws, which I use to swim and explore my surroundings. I begin to resemble a crab more closely in this stage, but I am still planktonic, drifting with ocean currents. I feed on small plankton and detritus. As I grow, I will settle on the ocean floor and undergo metamorphosis into a juvenile crab. Thank you visit again.
