THE HISTORY OF MY LIFE.
My name is Samwel Jackson a born of 11th September, 1996. I am a third born of the five children of late Jackson Machandi who passed away in the year 2012. My mother’s name is Lucia Damas, It is sad to note that my father who was a catholic died before he had the Holy Matrimony with my mother who too is a catholic. In our family we are five children as earlier told and all of us being males.
My family is in Bunda district and currently our home is made up of two people that’s my mother and our last born and the rest we are away from the family but always in touch with one another through communications. I thank God that even after the death of our beloved father still our mother tried her best in raising us up till this moment when now every child can understand himself together with the support from our uncle.
ABOUT MY EDUCATION.
I completed my Primary education in the year 2010 at KIHUZU primary School and joined the Secondary School the following year that’s 2011 at KYANYARI Secondary School found in BUTIAMA District until 2014 when I finished my Form Four. Having passed the Form Four National Examination, I proceeded with my Advanced studies at Ihungo Secondary School between the year 2015 and 2017.
ON THE VOCATION GROUND.
During my childhood I used to be a member in one of the gatherings of the Holy Children of God at my Parish in Bunda. At one time, our Parish priest REV. January Lyimo asked us of who wanted to be a priest and serve God as I didn’t hesitated by raising up the hand as the only one. He encouraged me to study hard and told me to pray hard to God so as my dreams would become a reality.
Later on I joined the other boys who were Altar servers; we were always reminded by father CHRISTOGON NJAU MLINA that the aim of being near the priest as the altar server is also to become a priest. Such statements would always instill in me a developing Spirit of serving the Lord. From that time I got to be highly inspired and slowly I sensed myself a Spirit of serving God.
When I was in Ihungo Advanced school I can say it was an opportunity presented to me by God to be in such school because I found a priest who always highly encouraged young men to become priests. A little by little the vocation increased and saw myself as the one who really deserved to serve God physically and spiritually.
In early June 2017, I completed my Advanced Secondary school and successfully passed following the good Results I had. I began to write Application letters to various congregations to join the formation to Priesthood such as Apostles of Jesus and Benedictians when I was at the University. While waiting for the Responses from the mentioned Congregations I was still at the University of DODOMA taking a bachelor of SCIENCES in Biology. My intention was that if those Application letters I made were to be answered positively I was to leave the Studies at the University and follow the either of the Congregations that would have responded to me. It took me a long time waiting for the responses which were nowhere to be seen but that couldn’t make me discouraged I still went ahead and looked for other Alternative. I shared it with my friends that things had become hard and they helped me searching for other Congregations from the Website and by God’s grace we came across the ORDERS OF THE CARMELITES and got the contacts of the Vocations Director whom I made the contacts with and shared a lot with about my vocation and thanks to God He finally accepted me to join the Formation
I thank God for all whatever I have encountered on the struggle to join the formation and ask for God’s guidance through my Journey .
