Dear Leawood Families,
It’s hard to believe we are entering the final stretch of the school year with just three weeks left! As we approach the end of this incredible year, there is certainly a sense of excitement in the air. Students are looking forward to fun celebrations, field day, and time with friends. At the same time, we want to continue emphasizing the importance of staying focused on learning and ending the year strong.
That’s why our Habit of the Month – Balance – couldn’t be more timely. As part of our work around whole-child development, we are helping students learn how to balance their energy and enthusiasm for upcoming events with a continued commitment to academics, peer collaboration, and respectful classroom behavior. We encourage families to reinforce this habit at home by talking with your child about how they can enjoy the final weeks of school while still putting forth their best effort each day.
There are many exciting end-of-year activities planned throughout the building. Please continue to stay informed by reading your child’s classroom newsletter and keeping up with our weekly eBlasts, which include important dates, reminders, and school-wide celebrations.
