Stopfinder is the all-in-one parent app that allows Jeffco Public Schools to share your student’s transportation schedule, announcements and more with designated parents and guardians. With the Stopfinder app, you can view your student’s schedule from your mobile device, share student schedules with caregivers and family members and view announcements and notifications related to transportation. Stopfinder is secure and only for registered users. Designated contacts of bus rider families will receive an email invitation with more information on how to install the app.
Jeffco is committed to ensuring that your experience with us is collaborative, successful and helps your student(s) learn and grow. We want to know how we are doing. Panorama Education is conducting the family-school relationships survey this year to give schools timely feedback and compare results to national standards.
All Jeffco families should have received an email with a link to the survey on Tuesday, January 21. The survey will remain open until Friday, February 7. It is anonymous and will only take 10–15 minutes to complete. Results will be used to improve our district and your student(s) learning environment.
In cases of inclement weather, it is unusual for our schools to close. That's why the district came up with a late start policy. The past month has been particularly snowy and cold, which has prompted us to reconsider a late start option. After careful thought and consideration regarding the impact to schools, families, and district operations, we have decided to implement a 2-Hour Delay Schedule when the weather situation indicates it is necessary.
When considering how we utilize this delay schedule, we will continue to rely on many data sources to inform our decision. These include CDOT and Jeffco County Road & Bridge Department, Skyview Weather Service, and other real-time forecast services, first-hand road inspections by staff and community volunteers living in our neighborhoods, forecasts for later in the day, and input from Jeffco Transportation Services. We will make our decision by 4:45 a.m. in order to accommodate school bus dispatch, food services deliveries, site crews, and substitute teacher arrangements. We will publicly announce a 2-hour delay and notify families by 5:30 a.m.
The safety and security of our students and staff is always our top priority, and we hope this new policy will help keep everyone safe on the roads while also keeping our schools open.
