Each November, the Leawood staff create Thanksgiving Boxes for famlies who may need some extra help with food for the week. We provide items for the holiday as well as a few extra snacks for the kids. Our PTSA provides a gift card to King Soopers from our Community Support Fund for perishables or meat. If your family would benefit from this help, please complete the following form. All information is confidential, and only provided to Jennifer Magri, our school social worker, who organizes and communicates with families about getting the boxes and/or gift cards to you.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported our book fair - whether you bought some great books to take home, purchased books to donate to teachers' classroom libraries, or contributed to our Share the Fair fund which helped us to purchase books for kids. Thank you also to the volunteers who helped us set up, run the fair, and clean up. You are appreciated! - Mrs. Rains

Fifth Grade students became Solar Energy Explorers and gathered evidence to support an argument that the apparent brightness of the Sun is dependent upon an observer's distance from the Sun. Students used their solar-powered planetary rover to find the best planet to explore.
