Halloween Parade and Parties
Friday, October 29
Parade, 9:10-9:45 and Parties, 9:45-10:30
Students come to school wearing their costumes. Remember, no masks that cover the eyes, no weapons or blood, and no costumes that violate our dress code. After the party, students change back into their regular clothes for the remainder of the day.
PARENTS MAY JOIN US OUTSIDE FOR THE PARADE ONLY
In order to mitigate the number of people inside the building, families may line the field to watch the parade, and then indoor classroom celebrations are with students/staff only. Party Moms have planned a craft and game.
Leawood follows Jeffco Healthy Schools guidelines. PTSA will provide a pre-packaged snack and drink. No other food will be served.
If your student doesn't celebrate Halloween, they may arrive at school at 10:30am, or they may come at the regular time and an alternate activity will be provided in the library. Please let your teacher know.

SCRIP Program

Enroll on MyScripWallet.com or ShopWithScrip.com with Leawood’s enrollment code: Email kelly.rodak@jeffco.k12.co.us for the code (we have been asked by the Scrip Program to not publish codes)
Seamlessly checkout and receive eGift cards and reloads faster by securely paying online with a linked bank account or credit card.
The new mobile app, RaiseRight by ShopWithScrip, is simply the right way to fundraise. Shop gift cards from more than 750 top brands to earn on your daily purchases. Anytime you want, anywhere you go. Get the app: https://www.raiseright.com/
As a reminder, there have been some great changes to the Scrip program that make it easier for you to earn rebates to apply towards any school fees (not just for Outdoor Lab)! The changes include:
Rebates are now allocated to family - not an individual student
No maximum limits per family
Rebates can be applied towards any Jeffco Public School fee
Scrip now accepts credit cards (2.6% Scrip transaction fee)
Throughout the year, Scrip runs special bonus and promo offers. Ensure you are signed-up to received program updates directly from Scrip to stay on top of all bonus and promo opportunities! You can update your account to receive email updates from Scrip.
If you want a reimbursement, the process will be to submit a check request form (available on Memberhub or in the financial office) for reimbursement to you directly. You will need to provide original receipts for the school fees. Return the form to the main office at Leawood. We ask for a 2-3 week turnaround time to mail out the checks. More information can be found on Memberhub or by emailing leawoodloot@gmail.com.
KingSoopers Community Rewards
Another great way to earn rebates to apply towards your child's Jeffco Public School fees is by designating Leawood PTSA as the recipient of your King Soopers Community Rewards. These rewards are loaded to your Scrip account and just like Scrip rewards, they are split 50/50 between Leawood PTSA and your rebate account. It is easy to setup:
Create or login to your King Soopers account
Navigate to MyAccount using drop down option in upper right corner under Valued Customer
Select Community Rewards from the left hand navigation pane
Choose Leawood Elementary School (organization number XH254) as your benefiting organization
At the end of each calendar quarter you will get a reminder email to provide a screenshots to leawoodloot@gmail.com to add rewards to your Scrip balance
Amazon Smile
Did you know that 0.5% from your Amazon purchases could be donated to the Leawood PTSA? It is easy to setup >
Go to smile.amazon.com (note special website for Smile donations)

SEPTEMBER WALL OF PRIDE
The Wall of Pride is Leawood’s way of acknowledging our responsible students. These good citizens are chosen by their teachers for demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Safety. Students can be recognized for any of these traits during any month of the year, with the expectation that each student is recognized at least one time. These students will have their picture taken and will eat lunch with Mrs. Shehan during the monthly Wall of Pride lunch.
