7th Annual Regis University Science and Technology (RU SciTech) SummerCamp for Middle School Girls

June 24-28 or July 8-12

Camp Week #1 is June 24-28, 2019, 9a-4pm and Camp Week #2: July 8-12, 2019, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Regis University, 3333 Regis Blvd, Denver, CO 80221. We host our activities throughout the Science Center on campus. Lunch will be in our Main Cafe.

Camp registration fee per week is $400 (lunch included), which is paid via check to Regis University.

Each camp hosts 16 middle school girls, with four camp counselors. All camp activities are run by Regis University science faculty members. Your child will also explore other topics, such as neuroscience, chemistry, physics, and technology. This camp is unique and unlike any other STEM camp experience in the Denver metro area.

RU SciTech is designed for incoming 7th or 8th grade school girls, but we have enrolled highly motivated incoming 6th graders, too.

Other Perks: As part of your fee, your child will be invited to additional STEM workshops during the school year, usually held at Regis on a weekend. Most will be free for campers. Campers will have access to a large group of female STEM role models, many of whom are active researchers in the fields of chemistry, neuroscience, physics, astronomy, and biology.

Online registration is now openClick here to register. Registration is only confirmed once your registration fee has been received. We only have 16 spots, so availability is extremely limited.

New District App

Hello Jeffco Families – Below is some information on a great new way to share flyers & stay informed, plus reminders on the community survey and budget meetings.

Peachjar

Jeffco Public Schools is now using Peachjar, a new digital flyer communication tool.  To view school-approved digital flyers, simply click the peach icon, located near social media icons on the district website as well as all school website homepages.

This “green” initiative will save our schools paper and reduce copy costs. Plus, posting school flyers in this “electronic backpack” removes some administrative tasks from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.

No action is required on your part. You will receive a welcome email from our service provider (Peachjar) that includes a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view school digital flyers.

To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add school@peachjar.com to your email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.”

This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Of course, like all our emails, you may opt out at any time. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities, and events.
