Did you know??
PTSA funds MANY different areas of our schools functionality. When we have fundraisers, we are raising for the many things we fund each year, as well as our unique chosen item. This year our unique item is the INTERIOR UPLIFT. Our Read A Thon was raising money to go towards the library portion of the Uplift. The Spring Fling will raise money towards the rest of the school uplift.
Other monies PTSA gives to the school are for:
*5th grade continuation *Assemblies *Back to school event *Birthday Pencils and Friday Folders *Columbine High School Graduation Breakfast and Scholarship *Classroom Supplies and Authentic Tasks *Leawood Garden *School Supplies for Families in Need *Staff Appreciation *Trick or Treat Street *Veteran's Day Program
We want to THANK YOU for supporting our PTSA and school by helping us to be able to provide all of these things to our school each year, and making Leawood the best learning environment in Jefferson County!
Easy Ways to Support Leawood
You Can Still Support Leawood by participating in the following programs . We are still collecting Box Tops and Milk Caps for Mooola. We have a collection bin in the front entryway of the school. We are also participating in the American Furniture Warehouse and Burgers for Better Schools Programs.
Burgers for Better Schools Program Leawood has been selected by Red Robin to be a part of this new program. Every time you eat at Red Robin, 1% of your check will be donated directly to your school of choice. Be sure to invite your friends, family and neighbors to join Red Robin Royalty and opt-in to support your school, too. Remember, the more you devour – the more they’ll donate!
Staples Classroom Rewards Introducing 'Classroom Rewards'. Give 5% back to your teachers! For more information Click Here
AFW Supports Leawood! EVERY-TIME you make a purchase at American Furniture Warehouse, be sure to mention that you would like to support Leawood Elementary and a portion of of your sales will be donated back to us!

Wall of Pride
The Wall of Pride is Leawood’s way of acknowledging our responsible students. These good citizens are chosen by their teachers for demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Safety. Students can be recognized for any of these traits during any month of the year, with the expectation that each student is recognized at least one time. These students will have their picture taken and will eat lunch with Mrs. Shehan during the monthly Wall of Pride lunch. The December Wall of Pride Students were:
