In the hug and go on the east side of the building in the parking lot, no adult can exit the vehicle and leave the car standing. This is very unsafe as other cars need to maneuver around your car. It helps to encourage your student to begin packing up and getting ready to hop out quickly and safely before you pull up to the crosswalk. Preschool parents MUST park in a designated parking spot in order to walk your student inside. Thank you for your help with this as we want to ensure all students start their day in a positive, safe manner.**
Watch Dog DADS and Marvelous Moms
We LOVE our Watch Dog Dad and Marvelous Moms program! We really appreciate the increased support in the crosswalks, parking lot, and in the halls and classrooms during the school day. Please consider signing up. Please access the signup HERE.
All crosswalk helpers must take our district training and take the test.
Happening Now
NOW ENROLLING K-5th Grade: If you know a parent with a child that is going into Kindergarten next year, please remind them to enroll asap. Also, tell them to enroll at Leawood!
Incoming Kindergartens for the 2023/2024 school year
If you have accepted an offer for the 2023/2024 school year, please upload your documents in Parent Portal.
These documents must be uploaded or your enrollment will be incomplete.
Visitors
All visitors entering the building must check in with the office, sign in, and get a visitor’s pass. When dropping off items for your child, the office staff will take it to their classroom. Parents please do not go to the classroom unless it has been pre arranged with the teacher and the office. These rules are set for the safety of all students and staff.
Attendance
If you have to pick your child up early, please sign them out when you arrive and we will call them down from class at that time. We cannot call them out ahead of time.

From The Health Room
Self Carry
A quick reminder that students are not allowed to bring medications to school to self-medicate.
This includes cough drops, inhalers, pain and fever reducing medications such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Midol, and medicated lotions. No medications used to treat a symptom are allowed without permission from our district nurse.
Chapstick and hand lotion are allowed.
From the Financial Office
Please don't forget to login to Infinite Campus and verify that all of your student's fees have been paid. This includes Library fines for lost books that we have added. Fifth grade students with any outstanding fees, will not be able to participate in the "End of the Year Party". If you would like to make partial payments, please call Mrs. Russell and she will be happy to arrange it with you.
Families can still apply for Free & Reduced lunches. Those who qualify will have their school and transportation fees waived, as well as breakfast and lunch fees. If you would like to apply, click here.
