Support School Funding on October Count Day!
It's official - October Count Day this year is Tuesday, October 1!
The most important action you can take to support school funding is to make sure your student attends school on that day. Much of public education funding from the Colorado
Department of Education is based on student count, so we encourage you to make sure your student comes to school that day.
Join all the ghouls and goblins at Columbine High School for their annual Trick or Treat Street. This fun event will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 3pm-5pm.
Join the Columbine Poms at a mini poms clinic with a performance at one of Columbines football game. Click HERE for more information.
Does your student use Lexia Core5 or PowerUp? Lexia has a Family Resource page that explains the program, helps with setting up home use and provides ideas to support students with the program. If you have technical difficulties, visit JeffcoHelp
Participate in Upcoming Board of Education Meetings
The School Board considers public opinion when making future decisions related to the school district. Learn more about guidelines on public comment at a board meeting and how to sign up.
At each regular Board Meeting, there will be two hours scheduled for public comments, one hour at the beginning, and one hour at the end of the meeting if there is an overflow from the first hour. Each individual will have three minutes to speak; groups will have 10 minutes. If there is still overflow after the second section of public comment, you will be contacted to see if you would like to be moved to the next month’s Board Meeting.
The district is having book study for using "Anxious Kids, Anxious Parents" Book Study/Parent Group offered through the GT Department! This six-week group starts September 26th. We are now offering a hybrid model this year to try and serve more families.
