POP TOPS

As we move into the new year, we  thought a Pop Tops update is necessary!  Attached you will find a spreadsheet as of November with the class totals.  We will be collecting them monthly from each class until the beginning of May.  Click HERE for class totals! Keep collecting those Pop Tops!

Choir Update

The Rockies have determined the date for JeffCo Night at the Rockies where the elementary choirs sing the national anthem. This year, it will be Saturday, April 6th. Our choir will join the other participating JeffCo Elementary Choirs. Students will purchase tickets (similar to the Nuggets event).

The Leawood Choir will also be participating in Night of the Arts on April  11th (here at Leawood).

Columbine Articulation Area Choir Festival evening on April 16th (at Columbine HS).

Grub Club

Leawood is participating in a food drive called Grub Club from December 1st-March 8th. We are collecting Cheese and Cracker Packets for homeless and emancipated Jefferson County high school students. We are hoping to collect 6,500 Cheese and Cracker Packets. Please help us if you can! All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Collection boxes will be in the front lobby here at Leawood, but you can drop them off at any other Columbine area school if that is more convenient. Students may bring one (or more) of the above donation items anytime between now and March 8th

In order to encourage participation in this food drive, we will have a Giant Stuffy and Pajama Day sometime in February (date to be arranged). If your child chooses to participate in Giant Stuffy Day and/or Pajama Day, please have him or her bring a donation item to the classroom that day. If you send in donations any other day, they should be dropped off in the front lobby.

If your family would prefer to make a monetary donation, here is the link:

Leawood Giving Tree

Thank you for your generous contributions to our annual Giving Tree!  Together, we helped a number of Leawood families have a brighter holiday season.  We are so fortunate to have such a giving community and appreciate the wish list items, winter clothing, and gift cards that were donated.
