We meet once a month, from 6 to 7:30pm in the Library. Free child care is provided.

End of Summer Celebration
Join us Saturday, Aug. 11th, 4 - 7 pm at the Columbine Knolls. Reconnect with school friends you haven't seen all summer, enjoy a special treat from PTSA and get a coupon for Dairy Queen. 3$ admission if you let the front desk know you are there with the Leawood PTSA!
WELCOME BACK COMMUNITY EVENT -
Mark Your Calendar! Friday, Aug 17th, after school till 7pm is the Welcome Back Bash hosted by the 5th and 6th graders and their families. Join us for FOOD, FUN and your favorite backyard games! A few surprises too, so you don’t want to miss!
5th and 6th Grade Families! Please be on the lookout for an email the first week of August with details about how you AND your student can help out with the Welcome Back Bash on Aug. 17th.
Spirit Wear
New designs available! Orders are due by August 31. Pay online with a credit card (links below) or use a paper order form (found in front of the main office) for cash or check. Orders will be delivered mid-september. Last year's shirts are available in limited quantities for only $7! See the PTSA website.
Room Parents Needed!
Would you consider helping out in your student's classroom by being the 'Room Parent'. Responsibilities include:
Organize parent contact info for the class and distribute
Recruit volunteers for classroom support as needed
Make sure that holiday parties are covered
Act as a liaison for PTSA/Accountability
Find sign up sheets outside your student's classroom at Back To School Night on Aug. 14th
Calling ALL Watch D.O.G.S.
Check out our WEBSITE for more information and to sign-up to volunteer. PLEASE NOTE: New this year, every Watch Dog must complete an online crossing guard training course before volunteering for the first time.

- Budget (Student Based Budgeting)

- Survey Results: Student Make Your Voice Heard Survey and Parent
Family Engagement Survey
The purpose of the committee shall be to work collaboratively with the Principal, school, staff, parents, community, and PTSA to:
review and make recommendations for the Leawood Unified Improvement Plan (UIP)
discuss whether the school environment supports the implementation of Leawood’s UIP and Climate and Culture Plan.
determine priorities for spending school moneys based on the current goals of Leawood’s UIP and Family Engagement Plan
identify the schools prioritized needs and advocates to PTSA for appropriate resources (i.e. volunteers, materials, financing)
