Receiving Emails from the School

We want to make sure you are receiving communication from the teachers and the school. We send out weekly e-blasts, classroom newsletters, and our monthly Leawood Lion’s Roar newsletter. In order to make sure you are receiving information about our upcoming events and important dates, please make sure we have the correct information in Jeffco Connect.We have found that some of our parents have an email in the system, but the boxes next to the email have not been checked. Please take a moment to log into your Jeffco Connect account to verify this. You will click on the “Contacts” tab. You will then click on the EDIT button next to your name. We ask that you have two additional emergency contancts in addition to two parents/guardians.  Make sure your email is correct, and also make sure the small boxes are checked next to your email.

In addition, if you receive an email asking to register your student, and you have already submitted your digital signature this school year, we ask that you log back in to your Jeffco Connect account and re-submit this again.  Because Jeffco Connect has installed new software, there have been some glitches within the system and some parents are having to do this twice.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but do appreciate your patience.

Student Fees

Please make sure you have paid your student’s fees.  On Monday, August 13th, when teachers email all of their new incoming parents, you will not receive your student’s teacher name unless the fees are paid. If you are planning on applying for Free & Reduced, please do so as soon as possible. Those who qualify for Free & Reduced assistance will have breakfast, lunch, bus and all of the other school fees waived.

New Medication Administration Guidelines

If you have a student who will need ANY medication at the school, there are new documents regarding administering medicine to students. A written Medication Permission Form must be signed and submitted by the parent/guardian AND signed by a health care provider for all prescription, nonprescription, and herbal medication to be administered or self-administered at school. Families shall be responsible for providing all medication to be administered to the student. These new medical forms are located on our website under the Family Resources link (Documents), as well as on our parent information rack.
