From the Principal
We've had an amazing start so far. It's been wonderful to see and re-connect with so many of you. The Kindergarten and Preschool playdates & parent meetings, the Meet the Teacher night & Scavenger Hunt and outdoor fun have all been a huge success. Thanks to our super busy and super positive PTSA who helped with all these events.
I hope you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new school year. I am so delighted that you are part of our amazing Leawood learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and I look forward to partnering with you and your children.
All signs point to another incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff spent lots of time planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our enthusiastic office team registered our new families, ordered needed materials, and updated student files. Our hard working and conscientious facilities team have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning, painting, and refreshing every room and space. And, our much-appreciated PTSA has lots of volunteer opportunities, and other exciting events and programs planned. We are indeed a joyous and caring community with the common goals of providing the best possible learning experiences for our students.
Thank you for remembering to walk completely around the parking lot as there is NO CROSSING at the entrance and exit of the parking lot. For those parking and walking in, thank you for remembering to use the crosswalk! And no parking in the Hug & Go lane. If you need to get out of your car for any reason, please park in a designated spot.
Thanks for your continued support and involvement at Leawood. Your commitment to ensuring that we remain a celebrated and successful school is awe-inspiring. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. As I'm entering year 11 here at Leawood, it remains an honor and privilege to serve as your principal. Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.
