POP TOPS
Leawood is still collecting pop tops. All the pop tops are given to the Ronald McDonald House to help support their monthly overhead expenses. Please start a jar to collect them in, and start sending them into school.
Congratulations to Din Perez and Kylie Witherow for their Leawood representation at the Columbine Area Spelling Bee this week. We're so proud of your hard work. Also, congratulations to our spelling bee participants, Harper Pearson, Benjamin Dallet, Kendrick Mebane, Lilah Chipman, Madeline Le, Nolan Campbell, Connor Hegge, Sullivan Kohn, Gavin Sowle, Ezra Campa, Katelyn Le, Alistair Marshall, and Ellie Orr. You all did a fantastic job!

Food Drive
Leawood is participating in a food drive called Grub Club from December 1st-March 8th. We are collecting Cheese and Cracker Packets for homeless and emancipated Jefferson County high school students. We are hoping to collect 6,500 Cheese and Cracker Packets. Please help us if you can! All donations will be greatly appreciated.
Collection boxes will be in the front lobby here at Leawood, but you can drop them off at any other Columbine area school if that is more convenient. Students may bring one (or more) of the above donation items anytime between now and March 8th!
In order to encourage participation in this food drive, we will have a Giant Stuffy and Pajama Day sometime in February (date to be arranged). If your child chooses to participate in Giant Stuffy Day and/or Pajama Day, please have him or her bring a donation item to the classroom that day. If you send in donations any other day, they should be dropped off in the front lobby.
