Current 5th Grade Students Moving on to Ken Caryl for 2022-2023
Please remember that if your student is currently “choice enrolled” at Leawood Elementary, they will be assigned to the middle school based on your residency, which will not be Ken Caryl. If your student is planning on attending Ken Caryl Middle School next year, you will need to choice enroll them through EnrollJeffco. Please follow the process mentioned above.
Parents of Bus Riders
Transportation continues to experience shortage of drivers which leads to routes being late or canceled. Please continue to have patience as they work through these difficult days. If you have any questions, please reach out to South Transportation directly at 303-982-9057. Thank you.
Attendance Process
To encourage consistent and effective attendance processes at Jeffco Public Schools, specific guidelines should be followed. This process will help ensure accurate information and safer students.
Each parent/guardian will be contacted in order of priority as set in Infinite Campus, using every phone number provided, until a live connection is made.
In the event that a guardian cannot answer their phone during the day, an attempt to email will be made as well.
If no contact has been made with a parent/guardian within 30 minutes of calling/emailing, the school will then attempt to contact the student’s emergency contacts. If the student has no emergency contacts, move to the next step.
If no contact is made with the emergency contacts within 30 minutes, or the emergency contacts do not have any information regarding the student’s whereabouts, notify district security dispatch right away. Dispatch will advise on next steps and/or if law enforcement needs to be contacted.
