Covid guidelines have changed and have been updated. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, current guidance from CDC states that individuals should stay home and away from other people while they are experiencing respiratory virus symptoms that can’t be explained by another cause. You can go back to work, school, and other activities when, for at least 24 hours, your symptoms are overall improving and you have not had a fever without use of fever-reducing medication. You can read more about CDC’s updated guidance here: CDC Respiratory Virus Guidance [external link]. CDC still recommends taking additional precautions for 5 days after returning to normal activities, since some people may still be contagious for that long after feeling better. If you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, you could take additional precautions such as wearing a well-fitted, high-quality mask around others for 10 days after exposure. You could also take a test on day 6 after exposure, and monitor yourself for symptoms. If you become ill with respiratory symptoms, you should follow the guidance above. Continue reporting to DCMS attendance if your student has Covid as we are tracking its prevalence in Jeffco.
Please go into Parent Portal to review and pay for your student's fees. When you log in, do not click on the left hand side panel. Click on the bottom right of the homepage "Quick Links" and then the link for "Jeffco Student Fee Payment". You will find all your fees there.
Thanks to HSMA, the district will continue to provide all students with one breakfast and one lunch daily at no cost through the 2024-25 school year, regardless of income eligibility. Families still need to complete the Student Benefits Application to have the School Fees waived. Please note that all F/R information must be updated on a yearly basis. Those who qualify for Free & Reduced assistance will have the bus and all of the other school fees waived.
If you have received an approval letter from Free & Reduced and your fees have not been waived, please complete the Consent to Release and Share Information form. It can be faxed or emailed to Food and Nutrition Services directly or emailed or to Mrs. Russell: margarita.russell@jeffco.k12.co.us
