From the Principal 

Dear Leawood Families,

Wow, those nine months flew by quickly! As we wrap up this school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared for the 2023-2024 school year. This has been an extraordinary year filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable moments, and I am immensely grateful to each and every one of you for making it truly special.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for welcoming me into the Leawood community with open arms. As you know, this year marked my first as principal at Leawood, and I must admit, I started with a mix of excitement and nerves. However, as the year progressed, I have had the privilege of witnessing our school community come together in remarkable ways from our successful Veterans Day Celebration to our Raise Craze event which not only spread kindness but helped raise $23k!  From our dedicated teachers and staff to our enthusiastic students and supportive parents, it has been an honor to be part of such a vibrant and caring community.

Together, we have navigated challenges, celebrated successes, and created many memories that I will remember fondly (hopefully soon on a beach somewhere). I have come to love our school and community deeply, and I am continually inspired by the dedication and kindness displayed by each of you. As we bid farewell to another school year, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve as your principal. Thank you for your trust, support, and commitment to our school's mission and values. 

I wish you all a restful and rejuvenating summer break filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful memories. I look forward to all that will come for next school year and to share all the building improvements will be occurring over the summer!
