This annual event encourages students to walk, bike, and roll to school on Wednesday, May 7th. We will have obstacle courses, hopscotch, and other fun games along Leawood and Jay Street as you walk, bike or roll to school. We are giving out prizes to those who walk, bike or roll. We will also give a prize to the best decorated bike or scooter. For those of you that live too far to walk, you can park down the street and walk a half of a block or even a whole block.
We need volunteers to help with this event and also some parents to donate Cuties(oranges). If you would like to volunteer, please contact Leah Lefevre or email her at Leah.Lefevre@jeffco.k12.co.us
Kids are built to move, and having more time for unstructured, outdoor play is essentially like a reset button. Please click HERE for the SEL Newsletter.

Please make sure all documents have been uploaded to Enroll Jeffco as soon as possible. If you are unable to upload these documents, you can bring them to the school or email them to llefevre@jeffco.k12.co.us. Your registration is not complete until all documents have been turned in.
We have a lot of items in the lost & found that would like to go home. Please stop by and check to see if any of these items belong to your child. Any items left over will be donated to the Jeffco Action Center.
Do you know a graduating High School senior who went to Leawood? Please reach out to them and tell them about our breakfast tradition, May 13 at 9:00am. We are inviting back all of our Leawood Lions that were here for 6th grade to this years breakfast. We will invite back former teachers who knew them as well. Should be fun!
The end of the year is here. Please review your fees and pay any outstanding amounts. Unpaid fees will convert to fines at the end of the school year and will stay on the student’s record to the next grade levels until paid, regardless to which Jeffco School you transfer. If your student has participated in any extracurricular activity/club (track, art club, choir, cheer, etc), please pay those as well. Students who have activity/club outstanding fees, will not be able to participate in those next year. Please pay ASAP.
These fees are for materials that your student received at the start at Leawood and has been using to help learning or for field trips. School funds are utilized to enhance the classroom experience such as extra support with Paraprofessionals, Chromebooks, Mimios, books etc. When fees are unpaid, we spend school funds to cover the expenses. Please pay your students outstanding fees.
Fifth grade students with any outstanding fees, will not be able to participate in the "End of the Year Pool Party".
Fees can be viewed and paid online via Infinite Campus. Fees may also be paid via cash, check or credit card in the office with Mrs. Russell (303-982-7860x5).
Once you log into Infinite campus, on the left hand side click "more" and then click "Jeffco Student Fee Payment" on the right hand side.
Do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Russell with any questions mrussell@jeffco.k12.co.us or 303-982-7860x5
If your child has medication at the school, please pick up their medication by the last day of school, May 23rd. Medication must be picked up by the parent/guardian. We are not allowed to give it to the child. Any medication that is not picked up from the health clinic by Friday, May 23 before 2:45 will be disposed of. Please click HERE for more information.
Thank you,
