I am partnering with Square 1 Art as my art fundraiser again this year. Students will be creating works of art that can be printed on keepsakes! A brochure from Square 1 with the items that can be purchased will be sent home early November. More information about ordering will be in later newsletters.
A portion of the money from the keepsakes comes back to the Leawood Art Department! I’d love to keep bringing art galleries, new/fresh art supplies, and guest artists to the school! This money helps support that! :) Here is my Amazon Art Supply Wishlist. Thank you in advance for your support of the arts!

Welcome back to school! Library orientations (LINK) and checkouts have begun with most classes, but will pick up regularly in September after our Book Fair is finished. All classes will come to the library weekly for a variety of read-alouds, digital citizenship lessons, information literacy & research, and students in grades K-5 will check out books to take home with them. PreK students will come for story times.
This year our Digital Teacher Librarian, Mrs. Rains, will be at Leawood on Mondays, Wednesday mornings until 11:15, and Thursdays.
Our fall Scholastic Book Fair is quickly approaching. Please come visit the fair to find a variety of new, interesting, and award winning books for children. We depend on proceeds from the book fair to purchase new books for our school library.

Volunteers Needed!
Please sign up here to volunteer at our Book Fair. We need many volunteers to make this event a success. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for the Leawood Library.
Ways to Pay:
You can purchase books with cash, credit cards, or by setting up eWallet. eWallet is a digital payment account for purchases at the Fair. Family and friends contribute funds. Then kids choose their own books. It’s convenient, simple, and secure. Set up eWallet on our Book Fair website. You may also contribute to our Share the Fair fund which will help pay for books for students who need financial support.
Thank you in advance for supporting our book fair!
All students in grades 1-5 have a Chromebook that they will be taking back and forth between school and home this year. Chargers should be left at home. Kinder students will use Chromebooks in their classrooms only. Read more about Jeffco's Tech for Ed program HERE.
