If your student is going to be absent from school, please call the attendance line at 303-982-7813. School safety and protecting your children is our utmost priority. We need to account for each and every student on a daily basis. Also, please call the attendance line if your student is going to be late or has to leave early. Leawood Attendance Guidelines

Colorado Rapids Attendance Incentive
Colorado Rapids Attendance Incentive
We have partnered with the Colorado Rapids to reward and incentivize attendance here at Leawood Elementary by giving students who have perfect attendance from September 1st - September 23rd a complimentary ticket to a Colorado Rapids match.
Students who qualify will receive a ticket link voucher to redeem their complimentary ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate. Vouchers will be redeemable for the Rapids vs Minnesota match on September 27th.

All Jeffco families are asked to complete their student’s annual registration update by Friday, September 12. This quick 15-minute process ensures your school has current contact info, signed agreements, and transportation or meal preferences.
To complete registration:
Returning families: Log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal > Click More > Select Online Registration
New families: Start with EnrollJeffco to add and enroll your student

Breakfast is free for all students at Leawood. Breakfast is from 7:20-7:35 and students must arrive before 7:30am in order to eat breakfast.
Watchdog Dads and Marvelous Moms
Watchdog Dads and Marvelous Moms
Watchdog Dad/Marvelous Mom's kick-off Celebration is Tuesday, September 16 @ 6pm. Come celebrate the start of the school year, with a Watchdog/Mavelous Mom kick-off pizza party. Come learn more about how Dad's, Mom's, or any special adult in your student's life can help out in Leawood and make their child's day. If you are new to Leawood, come to hear more. This is one of the easiest, flexible and most impactful ways to support the school and your child, we would love for you to stop by and hear more about it. Or more importantly, if you've Watchdog'd or Marvelous'd before come by to share with others the impact its had!

Please go into Parent Portal to review and pay for your student's fees. When you log in, do not click on the left hand side panel. Click on the bottom right of the homepage "Quick Links" and then the link for "Jeffco Student Fee Payment". You will find all your fees there.
The district will continue to provide all students with one breakfast and one lunch daily at no cost through the 2025-26 school year, regardless of income eligibility. Families still need to complete the Student Benefits Application to have the School Fees waived. Please note that all F/R information must be updated on a yearly basis. Those who qualify for Free & Reduced assistance will have all non-optional school fees waived.
If you have received an approval letter from Free & Reduced and your fees have not been waived, please complete the Consent to Release and Share Information form. It can be faxed or emailed to Food and Nutrition Services directly or emailed or to Mrs. Russell: margarita.russell@jeffco.k12.co.us
Students who still owe Club fees, won't be able to participate in any clubs until the outstanding fees are paid.
