Dear Leawood Families,

Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you well-rested and ready to get back into the school routine. As we start the second half of the school year, we are excited to welcome our students and families back to school. 

Please make sure you enroll your children for the 2025-2026 school year through Enroll Jeffco (LINK). We use our enrollment numbers to determine our staffing and budget for the upcoming year. Therefore, the earlier we enroll students, the more accurate we can be in predicting the school's needs. If you have any questions regarding the enrollment process, please call Leah Lefevre in our main office.

Starting the new year, we are thrilled to introduce a new program called Pride Time. Students will meet in heterogeneous groups, kindergarten through fifth grade for one half-hour a month for the duration of the school year. In these “prides,” students will be working collaboratively on team-building activities. We have kept our numbers low, with about 12-13 students per group and at least one building staff member to help facilitate, supervise, and participate with the children.  The purpose of Pride Time is to further create a culture of belonging at Leawood and to hone social-emotional skills within our students.
