Safety

If you are picking up your child early from school and the office staff does not recognize you, we will need to ask for your ID. If you send someone else to pick up your student, let them know they will need to bring their ID before we release the student to them.  If the person picking up your student is not on Jeffco Connect as an authorized “pick up” person, we will not release the student until such person has been added. If you need assistance adding emergency contacts, please call the office and we will walk you through the process.

A Little Clarification from the Health Room:

We know it has been a hard year on families and we do not want to make your life harder. We have a strong sense of community and we care deeply for your children. In the Health Room our policy is to remember this little human is somebody’s everything and we treat them with care and compassion.  On that same note, we follow the guidelines given very clearly from Jeffco Health Services so that each child is kept healthy and safe while in our care. With that in mind, please know that this clarification comes from a place of protection and vigilance for our last few weeks of school.

Even if a person tests negative for Covid, if they have other symptoms of illness, they must go home or stay home. A negative Covid result is not a guarantee.  Runny noses are not normal, especially when it is saturating their mask. Everyone has to be able to manage their secretions – Covid pos, Covid neg, flu or allergies.

Keep your student home if they have these symptoms of illness:

runny nose, sore throat, cough, headache, stomach ache, head congestion, lung congestion, shortness of breath, nausea, loss of taste.

Please do not medicate your child with symptoms and send them to school, they are not the only little human we are caring for, your actions affect others.  We want to stop illness in its tracks, and not spread it to others.

Stay Healthy,

Mrs. Perry
