There are currently 5 positions open in the district and the Columbine articulation is looking for one para to support our preschool programs. This person may support Leawood, Governor’s Ranch, Normandy, Dutch Creek and Columbine Hills. Check out the Jefferson County Schools Job Board for more information.
Thanks to HSMA, the district will continue to provide all students with one breakfast and one lunch
daily at no cost through the 2024-25 school year, regardless of income eligibility. Though meals are free for all Jeffco students, families are still encouraged to visit SchoolCafé and complete a Student Benefits Application.
While this application does not determine your student’s access to meals under the HSMA program, it may help their school secure additional state or federal funding. Additionally, your student(s) may be eligible for other benefits, such as school-related fees or testing fees, based on information provided on the application.
Completing registration for your student(s) is important as it allows you to:
Update contact information
Pay school fees
Register for transportation
… and much more!
All families must complete the registration process, which takes about 15 minutes. Contact your student’s school if you need help. Watch this video!
Finish Line is in Sight with Trail of Progress Across District
As Jeffco Builds wraps up its final summer of major construction, we're celebrating the tremendous progress made across the district. Since the bond's approval in 2018, Jeffco Public Schools' Capital Improvement Program has been elevating educational spaces, safety measures and opportunities for students, families and the broader community.
This summer, we’ve seen significant transformations at Bergen Elementary, Pomona Jr./Sr. High School and Wheat Ridge High School, among other schools. From new classrooms to advanced learning environments, these upgrades ensure that our schools are well-equipped to support learners today and in the years to come.
The Student and Family Handbook (Code of Conduct) is designed to promote safety through high standards of behavior. The handbook is available to download in PDF format in multiple languages. All families are expected to review this with their student(s)

Participate in Upcoming Board of Education Meetings
The School Board considers public opinion when making future decisions related to the school district. Learn more about guidelines on public comment at a board meeting and how to sign up.
At each regular Board Meeting, there will be two hours scheduled for public comments, one hour at the beginning, and one hour at the end of the meeting if there is an overflow from the first hour. Each individual will have three minutes to speak; groups will have 10 minutes. If there is still overflow after the second section of public comment, you will be contacted to see if you would like to be moved to the next month’s Board Meeting.
