At Jeffco Public Schools, fostering a strong early literacy foundation for every student is our priority. Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, K-3 students will complete a brief dyslexia screener called Rapid Automatized Naming in conjunction with their mid-year DIBELS 8 and Lectura assessments. This proactive measure will help us identify students who may benefit from additional support in their reading development and provide targeted assistance that helps them thrive as readers.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9 and we are beyond excited to celebrate our amazing #TeamJeffco teachers. We hope you'll join us!
Check out our social media channels (@JeffcoSchoolsCO) for daily activities to help recognize our teachers and make sure to share the fun ways you're celebrating by using #ThanksJeffcoTeachers!
Telehealth services Now Available. Hazel Health offers expanded mental and physical health support.
Jeffco Public Schools has partnered with Hazel Health, Inc. to provide a telehealth extension of mental and physical health supports to Jeffco students enrolled at district-managed schools, through evidence-based, culturally responsive, on-demand integrated healthcare services, accessed at home with a parent/guardian. Charter school families should connect with their student's school to learn more.
Jeffco Listens Family Survey results are now available on School Insights. We received responses from 36,834 students (grades 3-12) and 11,529 families across the district! Thank you for your participation.
The survey results were compared to more than 2,000 school districts across the country allowing us to better understand how Jeffco compares on a national level with other school districts. Feedback from the surveys has provided the district and our schools with insights to reflect, plan and set measurable goals towards better serving our communities for the next school year. A detailed summary of the results will be shared in the May Community Update.
