Plans for the start of school 2021-22
Our plan for next year is to offer two learning model options to our families - in-person learning at our school buildings, and remote learning opportunities for those students who wish to remain in remote programs.
In-Person Learning:
Students (PK-12) will attend in-person learning at our school buildings five days a week, Monday through Friday, on the regular school schedules from the start of school in August 2021.
District leadership will continue to meet with Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) to understand and navigate COVID-19 related guidelines for schools and activities. We will also continue engaging with our employee associations and district stakeholder groups on pandemic management and related concerns.
Jeffco Public Schools will continue to follow public health orders from JCPH as part of our planning for fall 2021. We can anticipate that public health guidelines and orders will continue to change regularly. We will update our students, staff, and families as needed.
Remote Learning:
Students and families who wish to continue to engage in remote learning can participate in either the Jeffco Remote Learning Program (PK-12) or Jeffco Virtual Academy (JVA) (Grades 6-12).
Jeffco Virtual Academy has been serving remote students in grades 6-12 for twelve years. Students in JVA have the opportunity to engage in their learning at any time that they need. Courses are specifically designed this way by Jeffco Educators. While teachers have regular office hours and students may participate with in-person social and academic activities, they are not required. JVA teaches and coaches students to be effective online learners. Students who most often find success with JVA are those that have good organizational skills and are both self-motivated and self-directed.
Jeffco Remote Learning Program is new, serving PK-12 for the 2021-22 school year. It will support high-quality teaching and learning experiences in a remote learning environment while also allowing students to maintain a connection to their neighborhood school or school of choice. In addition to regularly scheduled online learning opportunities with teachers, office hours are available for one on one support outside of scheduled class times. Our remote program will also teach and coach both students and parents to be effective online learners, emphasizing a more structured approach for students who thrive in the routines of synchronous learning.

Final Pulsing Survey for 2020-21
We invite you to take a moment to complete our final pulsing survey for the 2020-21 school year. We want to hear about your experience in the second semester and are looking ahead to what your child needs for a successful 2021-22 school year. All Jeffco 3rd through 12th-grade students received an email to the student survey this morning. You can review the results from previous pulsing surveys here.
Mental Health Supports
Through our Mental Health Hub, we are committed to keeping families and the Jeffco community connected, calm, and strong with a variety of resources to support you and your family members.
