Our next PTSA meeting will be Wednesday, January 16th from 6:00-7:30PM in the Leawood Library. Child Care is provided! We hope to see you all there!

Spring Fling

Planning is in FULL SWING for the SPRING FLING!! Save the date for Friday, April 5th, at Breckenridge Brewery. There will be two different tickets this year. The first ticket will give you entrance for the silent and live auction, as well as the heavy appetizers. Your ticket will include all of these events, as well as the band. Another ticket is offered for the band only at a lower price. The silent auction will go through the night, but the live auction is where the fun will be :) That Eighties Band will be performing at 8pm. We would love to have many families coming to support the school and our NEW Leawood outdoor classroom.

How can you help you may be thinking??? We need DONATIONS! Anything donated for the silent auction will bring in 100% profit for the school. We are not doing class baskets this year, so please donate whatever you would like. We want lots of items varying in prices, so that everyone can go home with a goodie :)

Accountability

Thank you to all who came to the accountability meeting in November! We discussed the parent survey, and areas of development for the school. Over this year, we will be focusing on social and emotional communication and training with families. We also discussed Lockdown buckets for each classroom. If you have a connection with a hardware store or fire department, we are looking for various items to be donated for the buckets. Please email Melissa Kohn at mekohn4@gmail.com if you can help.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, February 6th at 5pm in the library. We would love to see lots of people there. There will be FREE FOOD! And, if you bring a community member who is not a parent, you will be entered to win a gift card! Please join us for an important voice for our school.

Wall of Pride

The Wall of Pride is Leawood’s way of acknowledging our responsible students. These good citizens are chosen by their teachers for demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Safety. Students can be recognized for any of these traits during any month of the year, with the expectation that each student is recognized at least one time. These students will have their picture taken and will eat lunch with Mrs. Shehan during the monthly Wall of Pride lunch. The December Wall of Pride Students were:
