Leawood's Day of Service

Mark your calendar! Leawood’s Day of Service will be Saturday, April 18th and this year we will be moving INSIDE to work on the ‘Interior Uplift’.  If you are interested in helping us plan the event, please join us for a meeting on Wednesday, February 5th, at 6:15, in the Library.

Conferences are coming and we need your help!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, February 11th and 12th, our teachers and many staff members will arrive at school at 8am (or earlier) and not leave until 8:30pm (or later) only to get up and do it all over again the next day.   Conferences are such an important part of connecting school and family to help children grow. Please sign up to help provide our awesome staff with dinner on these two nights!

Below are links to both days.  While we do need the food, drinks and supplies,  we also need a few folks that can help set up and clean up.  Can you help?

BOXTOPS CONTEST!!!!!

Now through the end of February we are having a box top contest! Turn in your clipped Boxtops or scan your receipts in the Boxtop app. Make sure that you give credit to your student's teacher in the app so we know who to give the points to. The top 3 classes will win a special surprise! Check Friday folders for the Clipped Boxtop Flier & Box Top Bingo Sheet. Every student that completes ALL of the bingo card and turns it in will get a prize!  Check out the display case located in the school entrance to see how your class is doing.

Easy Ways to Support Leawood

You Can Still Support Leawood by participating in the following programs . We are still collecting Box Tops and Milk Caps for Mooola. We have a collection bin in the front entryway of the school. We are also participating in the American Furniture Warehouse and Burgers for Better Schools Programs.

Are you a parent, grandparent, guardian, aunt/uncle or community member that is good with numbers, likes to find deals, enjoys get togethers, or is a natural leader?  Then PTSA is the place for you!  We are always looking for general membership AND it's the time of year that we need to recruit new committee chairs and board members (elections are in April).  If you are interested or would like to learn more - please reach out to Ryan Boogert (ryan.boogert@jeffco.k12.co.us) or Laura Burnham (laura.burnham@jeffco.k12.co.us).

Wall of Pride

The Wall of Pride is Leawood’s way of acknowledging our responsible students. These good citizens are chosen by their teachers for demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Safety. Students can be recognized for any of these traits during any month of the year, with the expectation that each student is recognized at least one time. These students will have their picture taken and will eat lunch with Mrs. Shehan during the monthly Wall of Pride lunch. The December Wall of Pride Students were:
