October From Our Teachers
Leawood Elementary School
From the Library
Our fall Scholastic Book Fair is quickly approaching. Please come visit the fair to find a variety of fun, interesting, and award winning books for children. We depend on proceeds from the book fair to purchase new books for our school library.
Scholastic Book Fair Sale Hours:
Friday, October 13: 2:35-3:00
Monday, October 16: 2:35-3:00
Tuesday & Wednesday, October 17 & 18: 2:35-7:00
Check out our Book Fair Website.
Volunteers Needed!
Please sign up here to volunteer at our Book Fair, which will be taking place October 13th - 18th. We still need a lot of volunteers to make this event a success. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for the Leawood Library.
Ways to Pay:
You can purchase books with cash, credit cards, or by setting up eWallet. eWallet is a digital payment account for purchases at the Fair. Family and friends contribute funds. Then kids choose their own books. It’s convenient, simple, and secure. Set up eWallet on our Book Fair website.
Thank you in advance for supporting our book fair!
Leawood is Celebrating our Vets!!!!
We are in the very beginning stages of planning, but we do know we would like to honor each of our Vets within our families and community. Please take the time to fill this Veterans in Our Community form if you have a Vet in your life you would like to honor at our celebration.

Leawood has 2 new shade trees on the playground. Spencer Coffey completed his Eagle Scout project with a crew from Troop 537. A special thank you to Atkins Tree Farm, Home Depot, and all who donated their time, energy, or funds to help get these trees in the ground for our students!
