Psst! We're moving!
Jiang Chuan and Qin Tang began their long-distance relationship. Whenever they had free time, they would travel to each other’s cities. As a photographer, Qin Tang had more flexibility and time, so during the first half of the year, she often went to Xi’an.
In the second half of the year, Jiang Chuan and Lü An’s transportation company gradually expanded, with more orders between Xi’an and Beijing. Jiang Chuan spent more time in Beijing, sometimes staying for half a month.
At its longest, he stayed for an entire month.
It was summer, the time when students were on vacation.
Qin Yue returned from abroad, looking even more muscular than six months ago when he had fought Jiang Chuan. Back then, Qin Yue had lost badly but accepted defeat gracefully, though he wasn’t entirely pleased.
Young and full of pride, upon returning this time, he casually challenged Jiang Chuan, “Let’s go again.”
Jiang Chuan glanced at him, “Are you sure?”
Over the past six months, Qin Yue had been working out with his classmate Jack and felt he had improved significantly. The last time, Jiang Chuan had gone easy on him, yet he still lost badly. Now, he wanted to know if he had made any progress.
“I’m sure.”
And so, they set a time.
Saturday afternoon.
Audience: Qin Tang.
After learning about the match, Qin Sen didn’t bother to watch his son get beaten up again, and Jing Xin avoided it to spare herself the heartache.
Thus, Qin Tang was the only spectator.
While they were warming up, Qin Tang instinctively stayed by her boyfriend’s side. Qin Yue, on the other side, complained, “Sis, you’ve forgotten your little brother now that you have a man! I need someone to hand me water while I warm up!”
Qin Tang: “…”
This guy was becoming such a drama king!
Qin Tang didn’t move, but Qin Yue persisted, “Sis! I need water too!”
Jiang Chuan glanced at the boy and said to Qin Tang, “Go ahead.”
Qin Tang pursed her lips, “Mm.”
Qin Tang walked over with the water bottle and poured a cup for Qin Yue. As he drank, he complained, “You didn’t come when I called, but you rush over when he says a word.”
Qin Tang glared at him, “Drink your water and stop talking so much.”
A scientist-in-training acting like this? Was there such a dramatic scientist?
Qin Yue handed the cup back to her, “Sis, cheer for me later.”
Qin Tang: “That’s embarrassing.”
Qin Yue: “Sis, just do it.”
Qin Tang: “I don’t want to.”
Qin Yue: “…”
After a while, he leaned closer and whispered in her ear, “Sis, can you show me a little love? Brother-in-law is obviously stronger than me. I already know I’ll lose, but if even my own sister doesn’t cheer for me, not only will I get beaten, but I’ll also lose morale. It’s so awkward.”
Qin Tang sighed, “Fine, I understand.”
If he already knew he’d lose, why even fight? Typical masochist.
Compared to Qin Yue’s expensive fighting gear, Jiang Chuan simply took off his black T-shirt before stepping onto the mat, wearing only black pants.
Qin Yue: “…”
Abs—he had them too!
Take it off!
Qin Yue threw off his fighting gear and prepared to fight!
But how could a young man’s body compare to a mature man’s? Jiang Chuan’s wheat-colored skin looked like it had been naturally polished, exuding raw sexiness. Qin Yue, on the other hand, was paler and thinner. Once he removed his shirt, the disparity in strength was obvious.
Qin Tang looked at Qin Yue. How did this boy resemble a high-IQ genius?
She shouted, “Qin Yue, you can do it!”
Qin Yue waved happily, acknowledging her support.
After a moment’s thought, Qin Tang added, “Jiang Chuan, go easy on him.”
Qin Yue’s smile froze, “…”
Damn it, sis! What happened to boosting my morale?!
It made him so mad!
Jiang Chuan flexed his fingers and smiled, “Understood. I’ll make him call me ‘brother-in-law’ with complete sincerity.”
Qin Tang: “…”
Qin Yue: “…”
After a moment, Qin Yue protested, “You two aren’t even married yet!”
Jiang Chuan glanced at Qin Tang, “Isn’t it just a matter of time?”
Qin Tang turned her face away, her ears red as she faced him.
In the end, the fight concluded with Qin Yue reluctantly calling out, “Brother-in-law.”
Jiang Chuan took the towel Qin Tang handed him, casually wiping off the sweat. He smirked, raising one corner of his lips, “Go check on him.”
Qin Tang replied, “No need. He’s too proud to admit it.”
Jiang Chuan chuckled, “Your little brother is pretty good.” When Qin Tang was with Qin Yue, she seemed much more childlike compared to when she was with him. Watching their playful bickering made her appear incredibly cute—something he rarely saw in her.
Qin Yue was just an arrogant young master who had everything handed to him.
Qin Tang must have been much more lively and cheerful in the past.
Qin Tang smiled, “Yeah, he’s good and obedient.”
Jiang Chuan narrowed his eyes slightly, saying, “Sister-complex.”
Qin Tang: “…Do you even know what that means?”
Jiang Chuan laughed.
Qin Tang asked casually, “Then what are you obsessed with?”
Jiang Chuan tossed the towel back to her, leaning down to kiss the top of her head, “You.”
---
Jack, one of Qin Yue’s classmates, heard about how Qin Yue kept losing and became increasingly curious. Qin Yue said, “You can try if you want.”
So Jack actually came.
But unfortunately, Jiang Chuan had returned to Xi’an.
Jack knew Qin Yue had an older sister who was supposedly very beautiful, but Qin Yue was stingy and wouldn’t show anyone her photos. Jack asked, “Where’s your sister?”
Qin Yue: “She’s out.”
In reality, she had gone back to Xi’an with Jiang Chuan.
Jack then asked, “What about that impressive man?”
Qin Yue: “He’s gone.”
Jack: “…”
A few days later, Qin Tang returned—alone. Jack saw her and his eyes lit up. He asked Qin Yue, “Does your sister have a boyfriend?”
Qin Yue: “Yes, the man I mentioned earlier.”
Jack grew excited, eager to challenge him, “Is he here?”
Qin Yue glanced at him. This guy had clearly taken a liking to his sister.
There was a four-year age gap between him and Qin Tang, and ever since they were kids, there had always been classmates who, after meeting Qin Tang, wanted to pursue her.
A bunch of brats—he would never approve of them.
If anyone wanted to pursue his sister, they’d have to get his permission first. Could his sister really be pursued by just anyone?
So, without Qin Tang knowing, Qin Yue had already dealt with quite a few suitors for her.
Qin Yue said, “He’s not here. He’ll probably be back in a few days.”
Jack insisted he should come back.
Ten days later, Jiang Chuan returned to Beijing and found a blond-haired, blue-eyed handsome guy at the Qin residence. Judging from the situation, this was likely Qin Yue’s classmate. However, this particular classmate kept staring at Qin Tang. What was going on?
Wasn’t Qin Yue supposed to be a sister-complex? Why wasn’t he worried now?
Jiang Chuan noticed that Qin Tang attracted a lot of young, fresh-faced admirers. He already knew about Zhou Qi’s secret crush on Qin Tang, and some of the young models in her studio also had their eyes on her. Jiang Chuan looked down at Qin Tang beside him, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Qin Tang felt a strange tingling sensation on her scalp. It wasn’t her fault if people liked her!
Jiang Chuan leaned down and whispered in her ear, “Were you well-behaved while I was gone?”
“Well-behaved…”
What did that mean?
Did he think she would cheat on him?
Qin Tang smiled, “What if I wasn’t?”
Jiang Chuan squeezed her buttock, “What do you think?”
Jack and Qin Yue walked over, challenging Jiang Chuan to a fight. Jiang Chuan glanced at the blond-haired, blue-eyed youngster, licked his teeth, and smirked.
“Bring it on.”
The foreign youngster wasn’t much better than Qin Yue. Jiang Chuan beat him thoroughly, leaving him completely convinced of his strength.
In the end, Qin Yue patted Jack’s shoulder teasingly, “See? I told you my brother-in-law is amazing.” Privately, he thought, *Brother-in-law really went easy on me. Look at Jack’s face.*
Jack: “…”
Had he been tricked into coming to China just to get beaten up?
Jiang Chuan was already tired of hearing Qin Yue call him “brother-in-law”—it lacked sincerity.
Qin Tang gently touched the corner of his mouth, which was slightly swollen, though still in much better condition than Jack’s. “Do you want to put some medicine on it?”
Jiang Chuan: “No need. It’ll heal in a couple of days.”
Qin Yue had developed a habit of fighting every time he returned, sometimes even challenging Jiang Chuan. Considering Qin Yue’s youth and the fact that he was Qin Tang’s younger brother, Jiang Chuan had never used excessive force. Jack, however, had a bit more aggression in him, so Jiang Chuan didn’t hold back.
Leaning down, Jiang Chuan whispered in Qin Tang’s ear, “But about this fighting business, tell Qin Yue to stop messing around. I don’t want to waste all my energy on fights every time I come back.”
Qin Tang understood his meaning, her ears turning slightly red.
Jiang Chuan chuckled, reaching out to pinch her soft, white earlobe, “From now on, I’ll come back once a week.”
Qin Tang was surprised, “Do you really have that much time?”
Jiang Chuan: “Yes.”
Hmph, he just wanted to end this damn long-distance relationship as soon as possible!
