Psst! We're moving!
Everything seemed to begin like this.
In ancient times, the divine lord Yinze earned the favor and trust of the Heavenly Emperor. He once refined the Greenstone for Goddess Nüwa, enabling her to gather the Five-colored Stones to mend the heavens. He also aided Emperor Xuanyuan in defeating Chiyou at Zhuolu. After Gonggong, in his rage, broke Mount Buzhou, Yinze succeeded him as the second Cangying God. Hongjun personally bestowed upon him the Water God’s mark on his face, and Fuxi draped the Ocean God’s robe over his shoulders. In the realm of the gods, Yinze was young and talented, possessing divine beauty. Yet, he could not win the heart of the woman he loved. To make her happy, he used the divine “Luoshui” to create an empty city called Suzhao beneath the moon. Over time, the spiritual energy of Luoshui accumulated, and a hundred years later, the city birthed a spirit, named Suzhao, who quickly transformed the city into a thriving metropolis.
Luo Wei, the youngest princess of the fifth king of Suzhao, grew up alongside her adoptive brother, Fu Chenzhi. One day, Fu Chenzhi was framed by an immortal with ill intentions toward Suzhao and was forced to flee. Before leaving, Fu Chenzhi confessed his love to Luo Wei and promised that once he had cultivated his abilities and become a powerful immortal, he would return to marry her. Shortly after his departure, Luo Wei was also ambushed by the immortal and escaped, wounded.
After leaving Moonlit City, Luo Wei joined an immortal sect and reunited with her adoptive brother. She discovered that her brother was not an ordinary mortal but the illegitimate child of a divine goddess. Moreover, their master turned out to be none other than Yinze, the divine lord himself. Like all members of the Suzhao lineage, Luo Wei knew nothing of the world outside and revered the legendary divine lord Yinze as the highest god. Yet, she never expected her admiration for her master to subtly transform into a budding affection. To her surprise, Yinze, who had remained unshaken by emotions for seven thousand years, also developed feelings for his disciple. At first, he thought he saw his deceased lover Shangyan in her, but he soon realized he had fallen deeply for her.
As a great drought plagued the world, Yinze willingly sacrificed all his divine power to protect Luo Wei, merging his essence back into the cosmos. When Luo Wei’s life was nearing its end, she finally learned the truth. In her final moments, she used her last divine power to submerge Suzhao deep into the ocean, far away from the moonlight. In the last instant of her life, the final remnant of Yinze’s soul guided Luo Wei into an illusion, reuniting them at the moment of their first meeting in life…
