Psst! We're moving!
Rustle.
A frail arm slowly emerged from the pristine white blanket.
The arm reaching toward the phone on the nightstand was covered in a vivid array of blooming flowers.
Perhaps it was evidence of last night’s fiery passion.
Once Min-hyuk started, he rarely stopped. Last night too, he had possessed her with relentless intensity and heat.
As a result, Joo-eun ached all over and couldn’t help but moan softly.
Trying to swallow her groans so he could sleep a little longer, she furrowed her brows. Carefully raising her upper body, she leaned against the headboard of the bed and, as usual, typed “DK Electronics” into the search bar.
Fortunately, there was no urgent bad news to relay to him.
Only glowing articles praising DK Electronics for its record-breaking quarterly performance and its soaring stock price.
Of course, Min-hyuk’s exceptional leadership was mentioned in every article.
“Couldn’t you have slept a bit more…?”
Min-hyuk murmured in a languid voice.
“Sorry. Did I wake you up?”
“Are you looking at the news again…?”
He ran his fingers through his hair, exuding a morning charm that was effortlessly sexy.
Compared to herself, who looked disheveled after such a passionate night, he seemed to radiate an otherworldly glow—a truly peculiar type of man.
“I’m just taking a quick peek.”
Though she usually read everything thoroughly, Joo-eun downplayed it with a casual response.
“You only need to look at me.”
He snatched her phone, tossed it behind him, and pulled her close.
“Ah…!”
Just as she thought she was being dragged back under the covers for another steamy moment…
Min-hyuk began massaging her shoulder.
“You’re really tense.”
“...It’s fine.”
It wasn’t fine—it hurt quite a bit.
But when she endured the pain, a surprisingly refreshing sensation washed over her.
Cradled in his arms, receiving his soothing massage, she felt sleep pulling at her once again.
His hands, which had been diligently kneading her muscles, gradually slowed.
“Do you have anything urgent this morning?”
“Huh? Why?”
“I was thinking of calling the office to say I’ll be late if you don’t have anything pressing.”
Joo-eun’s eyes shot open as she stared at him.
She saw the corner of his lips curl up into a smirk. Knowing exactly what that smile meant, her eyes narrowed.
“You’re not seriously thinking about… After last night, already…!”
“No, don’t think of me like that. I just don’t want to be apart from you. Let’s stay like this for one more hour.”
Min-hyuk pulled her closer so her forehead rested snugly against his chest.
But Joo-eun wasn’t about to give in so easily.
If she backed down now, they’d never leave the bed—not even by lunchtime.
“You tricked me last time! You said ‘one hour,’ and then—”
“Did I make you lose your mind?”
“What? No. That’s not what I meant.”
“It’s my fault your voice got hoarse.”
“……”
Joo-eun’s face flushed red.
The memory of how loudly she’d cried out the previous night made her feel both mortified and flustered.
Finding her reaction amusing, the corners of his lips twitched mischievously.
“I won’t make you lose control today.”
“Who said I lost control? I didn’t!”
But before she could protest further, Min-hyuk grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward him, climbing atop her like a prowling cat.
Her startled expression below him was so delicate and beautiful that he hesitated to put his full weight on her.
Yet even without much effort, his muscles flexed and rippled around her.
The only soft part of his otherwise firm body pressed insistently against her lips, consuming her with fervent kisses.
“You really mean it this time, huh… Haah!”
Despite her protests, Joo-eun soon found herself emitting sultry moans instead.
There hadn’t been much clothing between them to begin with, so there was nothing left to remove.
“Let’s keep it short and sweet since it’s morning.”
And yet, true to form, Min-hyuk lost track of time as he explored her body, completely absorbed in their intimacy.

Back at work, Joo-eun furrowed her brow slightly while typing furiously in response to questions coming through the company messenger app.
She’d taken half the morning off, leaving her with a mountain of tasks to catch up on. Her shoulders were stiff, making it hard to focus.
‘We should take it easier during weekdays…’
She groaned softly as she rubbed her sore shoulder.
He’d promised “short and sweet,” but somehow it turned into something long and intense. Now she felt frustrated—but also, dare she admit it, satisfied.
“Hmm. Focus. I need to focus.”
Joo-eun muttered to herself, trying to regain concentration. But unexpectedly, someone beside her responded.
“Yes! Focus. I’ll work hard!”
“Huh?”
Turning to her left, she saw a wide-eyed new intern staring back at her with determination.
“Were you talking to me…?”
Not at all.
Finding the earnest intern adorable, Joo-eun chuckled despite herself.
“I’m not in any position to lecture anyone. But if my pep talk helps you focus, great.”
“Why would you say that? To me, you’re like a goddess.”
Joo-eun shuddered internally. Flattery wasn’t her thing.
“You’re good at navigating office life.”
“I mean it. You’re amazing. Everyone loves you—even the executives.”
It was true; the executives always stopped by to greet her or exchange pleasantries. Of course, the new intern didn’t know why yet—and she certainly wasn’t going to tell him that her husband was the CEO of DK Electronics.
He’d figure it out eventually.
Joo-eun awkwardly laughed it off and turned back to her monitor.
“By the way, I’ve got a blind date next week. If someone like you shows up, I’m asking them out immediately.”
W-Wait…?
Startled, Joo-eun’s lips twitched awkwardly.
From behind, Choi, the team leader, clicked his tongue.
“Someone shut him up. What’s gotten into him?”
But the intern showed no signs of backing down, unaware of how flustered Joo-eun was becoming.
“I’m serious. You’re my ideal type, Song Daeri.”
“This is getting ridiculous. Kim Daeri, step in. Tell him that if he keeps this up, his desk might disappear tomorrow.”
Following Choi’s cue, Kim chimed in with a teasing tone.
“Hmm… I wanted to wait a bit longer before saying anything, but maybe I should spill the beans now…”
“What are you guys talking about?”
The confused intern scanned the team members one by one.
“Sigh… I wonder if he can handle hearing this story.”
“He won’t survive it—I guarantee it.”
Everyone was clearly holding back laughter, anticipating the intern’s shocked reaction.
Stop teasing the poor guy already…
Why were they tormenting the newbie like this? It reminded her of how people reacted when they first learned she was dating Min-hyuk.
Joo-eun quickly interjected.
“Alright, let’s focus, shall we?”
“It sounds like Kim Daeri has something important to share…”
“We’ll talk later. For now, finish those documents today.”
“Oh, right. Yes, understood!”
With that, the previously starstruck intern dove back into his work.
Joo-eun sighed in relief but shot a glare at her teammates. Their playful expressions screamed mischief waiting to explode.
Honestly, they were acting like mischievous predators.
Suddenly remembering past reactions to similar situations, Joo-eun smiled faintly.
‘He’ll love hearing about this story tonight.’
She couldn’t wait to get home and tell Min-hyuk everything. She imagined how brightly he’d laugh—it filled her with anticipation.
‘Oh, right. I told myself to focus.’
Glancing cautiously at the intern, Joo-eun resumed typing louder than necessary.

“Haha. Kim Daeri must’ve been thrilled.”
True to form, Min-hyuk laughed heartily as though her story was the most entertaining thing in the world.
Propped up on his thigh, Joo-eun peered up at him and continued.
“They were practically brimming with mischief, completely forgetting how flustered they were back then.”
“They haven’t forgotten—they’re just thinking, ‘Why should Min-hyuk be the only one embarrassed?’”
“Maybe you’re right.”
Joo-eun paused, picked up her book again, and flipped a page.
“The intern’s cute. What’s his name?”
“Son Hanbyul. He works hard. His enthusiasm reminds me of myself back in the day.”
“Really?”
Min-hyuk had been curious about the new hire.
‘So it’s a woman.’
He felt a wave of relief.
He trusted Joo-eun completely, but others? Not so much.
Lately, her beauty had become almost unbearable—it made him uneasy. And today was no exception.
“How much longer will you read?”
Understanding the hidden meaning behind his quiet question, Joo-eun gave him an apologetic look.
“Just today, please. Tomorrow’s our company book club meeting, so I need to finish it.”
“Look at my state. Do you think I can hold on?”
Simply tilting her head slightly—without even turning fully—revealed an undeniable presence that took her breath away.
“When did this happen…? Did I sigh too loudly again?”
“Yeah. Your breathing is too seductive.”
Smirking, Min-hyuk leaned down and captured her lips in a sweet kiss.
Thud. The book she’d insisted on finishing today dropped to the floor.
