Psst! We're moving!
“Oh my, this newborn is already so handsome! Must take after his father, hm?”
Ae-ran, who firmly believed that the measure of a successful life was top-tier looks, showered their son Yeon-su with praise the moment she held him.
With his gentle temperament inherited from Ji-soo and his sculpted features and sturdy frame from Tae-ha, the baby—approaching his hundredth day—was already heavy enough to make Ji-soo’s arms ache.
“When will this little bean grow up and start taking care of his mom?”
Ae-ran smiled as she gazed at her grandson, who slept peacefully in his crib like a well-behaved fawn.
“So when are you coming down next?”
“I’d love to stay overnight, but Tae-ha doesn’t like sleeping outside the house.”
“How is your in-laws’ place ‘outside the house’? Stay for a few days! Let your mother-in-law dote on her grandchild and earn some brownie points!”
Though their reasons differed, Ji-soo also wanted to stay at In-hee’s place for a day or two. Tae-ha, however, had forbidden visits from both mothers close to Yeon-su’s hundredth day, claiming it would be burdensome. All they had were phone calls and cute videos of the baby.
“Your mother-in-law must be so lonely. She’s all by herself.”
“I should call her more often.”
“I never raised a boy before—are they always this calm and pretty?”
Ae-ran stood up, taking one last look at her sleeping grandson before leaving.
“Yeon-su, Grandma will visit again!”
“Mom, you’re leaving already?”
“Babies come with a mountain of luggage. You should start packing too.”
“But there’s still plenty of time before Tae-ha gets home...”
“I live close by. I can always come back.”
Ji-soo followed her mother to the door.
“Are you still breastfeeding?”
“I want to, but should I stop? Mom, I feel like I have plenty of milk, but it doesn’t come out well. Yeon-su even gets a little frustrated sometimes. It’s cute when he scrunches his face.”
Ji-soo giggled, linking arms with her mother. Her sweet, easygoing son, who played and slept on his own, was so serious about nursing that it was endearing.
“That’s something your husband should help with. What kind of strength does a hundred-day-old baby have to suckle properly?”
“Tae-ha? How?”
For a brief moment, Ji-soo imagined her husband doing what her son did—and instantly turned red to the tips of her ears.
“Mom. That’s... impossible.”
“He needs to eat until he’s full. If it’s just dribbling out, of course he’ll get stressed, poor thing.”
Tae-ha’s car was already waiting outside.
“Tell your husband today—make sure our grandson gets to eat his fill. Bye.”
With those impossible instructions, Ae-ran left in Tae-ha’s car.
How on earth could her husband help with breastfeeding...?
Flustered, Ji-soo searched online and found stories from other mothers with similar concerns.
[Thanks to my husband, our baby no longer fusses at bedtime and nurses well.]
[After work, my husband becomes a human breast pump!]
[My husband’s hands are amazing. My clogged ducts cleared right up.]
Her chest did feel sore sometimes, but not enough to need Tae-ha’s help. Yeon-su rarely fussed unless he was hungry...
“Should I still ask?”
Tae-ha would do anything she asked. But would he think it was weird? It was for the baby, after all.
But that was Ji-soo’s fatal miscalculation.

Tae-ha drove while Ji-soo and the baby sat in the back. Yeon-su loved riding in his father’s car, blinking his big eyes as he watched the scenery zoom by.
“Yeon-su, do you like going out with Mom and Dad?”
Ji-soo pressed close to the window so the baby could see better, kissing his round head.
When he started sucking on his fingers, Ji-soo picked him up. Quickly unbuttoning her blouse, she didn’t notice Tae-ha glancing back from the driver’s seat.
The words Ji-soo had whispered in the bedroom earlier echoed in his ears, making them burn.
“For milk to flow well, the husband needs to help. Massaging to prevent clogged ducts...”
“Just hands? No mouth?”
Teasing her had made her turn bright red and flee to the baby’s room.
And now, she was going to nurse in the car? She might as well have said nothing at all.
Unconsciously licking his lips, Tae-ha focused on the backseat.
Somehow, he managed to drive to In-hee’s house. His self-control was commendable—ever since hearing Ji-soo’s request, his mind had been fixated on one thing.
“Oh, my puppy’s here!”
In-hee rushed out to the parking lot and immediately scooped up Yeon-su.
“Ji-soo, you must be exhausted from the trip. Come inside. He must be starving!”
Patting her grandson’s plump bottom, In-hee carried him inside.
Holding the baby she’d only seen in photos and videos moved her to tears. Throughout dinner, In-hee kept wiping her eyes as she cradled Yeon-su.
“Eat up.”
“Mother, let me take Yeon-su so you can eat properly. It must be tiring.”
“What’s tiring about holding my grandbaby? I made plenty, so eat up. I’ll pack the leftovers for you to take home.”
The eight-person table was laden with food—In-hee’s way of doting on her son and daughter-in-law.
“Mother, we’d like to stay overnight. Is that alright?”
In-hee looked up from stroking Yeon-su’s chubby cheeks. Tae-ha, who had been eating silently, paused—clearly, this wasn’t part of their agreement.
“Of course! I even cleaned the guest house yesterday.”
“Thank you. Mother, the galbijjim is so tender and delicious.”
Once the decision was made against Tae-ha’s wishes, the awkward dinner atmosphere relaxed. Ji-soo ate as much as she could.
“I think I overate. I’m so full.”
On the way to the guest house, Ji-soo pulled Tae-ha’s hand to her stomach. Despite eating so much, her belly was still flat, but Tae-ha nodded half-heartedly.
“Want to take a walk by the lake?”
Glancing back at In-hee and Yeon-su, Ji-soo took Tae-ha’s hand. Since it was almost bedtime, she could leave the baby with her mother-in-law a little longer.
The moonlit path through the dense forest led to a shimmering lake. Under the dim light, the moon, shaped like a leaf, cast its glow over them.
The only sound disturbing the peaceful night was the occasional crunch of pebbles underfoot.
“Wow. I had no idea this place was so beautiful.”
Moonlight rippled across the lake at the end of the path.
“I’m so glad we came.”
Ji-soo beamed at Tae-ha, the light catching her face more than the water.
“And staying overnight?”
“Well... Are you mad I brought it up without asking?”
Tae-ha wrapped an arm around Ji-soo’s waist. The moonlight outlined his face more sharply than usual.
“How could I ever be mad at you? I said I’d do anything Han Ji-soo wants.”
Ji-soo’s long lashes fluttered. As they lowered, Tae-ha captured her lips in a deep kiss.
When the kiss deepened, Ji-soo wrapped her arms around his neck. His hands, which had been on her waist, slid up to her chest.
“Hng!”
Instantly, her blouse dampened. Ji-soo’s embarrassed gaze met Tae-ha’s smug grin.
“What do we do... Let’s go back.”
Just as Ji-soo was about to bolt, Tae-ha pulled her under a tree.
“You said your husband should help, right?”
“Here?!”
“What’s the problem? I’ve got hands and a mouth.”
His fingers moved swiftly over her blouse.
“Besides, it’s just the two of us.”
As her bare skin was revealed, Tae-ha bent one knee to meet her eye level. Her full breasts were now heavy enough to fill his large hand.
He squeezed gently, and soon, thick streams of milk spilled over his fingers, dripping onto his shirt.
“Ah!”
Before Ji-soo could react, Tae-ha’s mouth was already on her. His free hand worked the other side, coaxing out another rush.
By the time he lifted his head, Ji-soo was panting. Only after her blouse had dried did the couple return to their lodgings.
Thanks to Tae-ha’s help... Yeon-su, who had woken up hungry, nursed contentedly before drifting back to sleep. His plump cheeks were softer than ever.
“Mother, please take Yeon-su for the night.”
Ji-soo handed the sleeping baby to In-hee with a smile. Though this wasn’t part of their agreement either, Tae-ha looked thrilled to have some alone time.
“Should I? Then sleep well. Call if you need anything. Yeon-su, let’s go with Grandma.”
The moment In-hee left with Yeon-su, a charged atmosphere enveloped the couple.
“You sent our son away too? Isn’t this a bit too deliberate?”
“Mother adores him... Hng!”
Tae-ha lifted Ji-soo and carried her to bed.
“Is this the breastfeeding effect? I’ve got energy to spare.”
“Since when does nursing make you go all night—”
“All night, what?”
Biting her lip, Ji-soo pulled him close.
“The way you torment me all night... is exactly my taste. Now hold me properly.”
“Our tastes are exclusive to each other. Permanently.”
Tae-ha cupped her shyly nodding chin and kissed her deeply, as if sealing that eternal promise.
