Psst! We're moving!
What… what did he mean by wanting to taste something…?
Joo-eun forced an awkward smile.
“Ha…ha. What kind of lewd comment is that, and in the office, no less?”
She tried to laugh it off as a joke, but he didn’t budge an inch.
Feeling increasingly uncomfortable under his deepening gaze, she lowered her eyes and fiddled with her hair nervously.
Thanks to her efforts, her tousled hair now covered the tip of her ear.
“Why are you hiding it? It’s beautiful.”
His large hand gently brushed aside her brown locks, tucking them behind her reddened earlobe.
Satisfied with the sight of the exposed red “flower,” a pleased smile tugged at his lips.
Every time she saw that smile, Joo-eun’s heart raced uncontrollably.
Thump thump. Loud enough that she worried he might hear it.
‘Surely he wouldn’t really… do something to my ear here, would he?’
Afraid that asking would only confirm her fears, she awkwardly laughed and managed to meet his gaze. He leaned in and whispered softly,
“I’ve never been so grateful to Team Leader Gam.”
“Team Leader Gam…?”
“He did a great job making sure no one else was around. He sealed this place up tight.”
The room had indeed been hastily prepared, with only a small window near the ventilation shaft for air. Still, she hadn’t complained—until now. Was this his intention all along?
Joo-eun wrinkled her nose and shot him a glare.
“I’m sensitive to noise. Watch what you say.”
“Then I’ll just have to make sure you stay quiet.”
“Hnn…!”
Before she could react, his lips parted hers sweetly, and an intruder slipped into her mouth.
Her head tilted back as his firm arm tightened around her waist. His large hand cradled the back of her head, pulling her closer.
Overwhelmed, Joo-eun unconsciously opened her lips wider to accept him.
The stimulation from the kiss alone was almost unbearable, but the feel of his muscular arms and hands sent her body into a frenzy.
A moan welled up at the edges of her lips.
How was she supposed to hold back? This was cruel—so cruel.
Joo-eun swallowed her overflowing breath, unable to make a sound.
The slick, intimate sounds of their saliva teased each other’s ears.
If she let her guard down even slightly, she feared she’d be the first to lose control.
“Haa… Director Minhyuk. We agreed not to do this at work…”
Struggling to contain herself, she lightly pushed him away. His wet lips slowly retreated.
Minhyuk gazed at her flushed appearance with heated eyes and whispered huskily,
“That was an excellent report.”
Joo-eun snorted in disbelief, and he chuckled along with her.
His long, broad thumb gently traced the corner of her lips.
“This afternoon, come to me with next year’s business plan.”
This man…
“The content’s complex, so I’ll push you hard. Be prepared.”
When Joo-eun narrowed her eyes at him, he stretched his lips into an even wider grin.

It was her first relationship, and already she was neck-deep in a thrilling office romance—her heart raced so much she wondered if she’d live to see old age.
After what happened in his director’s office, they’d barely made it out of the conference room without him pouncing again.
And those smoldering eyes of his—how seductive they were.
She nearly failed to push him away this time.
If either of them lost control completely, things would spiral out of hand. Clinging to the last thread of sanity, she managed to hold on.
‘I need to keep my emotions in check.’
Honestly, if he tried anything more at the office, she’d probably lose it entirely…
But how could she possibly scold someone so impressive?
Through the glass wall, she stared blankly at him standing amidst luxury cars worth millions, glowing even brighter under the showroom lights.
Tall, handsome, muscular—not to mention exuding charisma.
The fact that this perfect man was hers still felt surreal.
Flustered, she blushed and smiled sheepishly when she accidentally locked eyes with a salesperson inside.
Oh… How embarrassing.
Startled, Joo-eun quickly turned her head away.
Whether they thought she was staring at the cars or at him, either way, it was mortifying.
‘But why did he tell me to leave together and then send me to a car showroom…?’
Minhyuk had simply texted her to meet him at the car dealership after work—no explanation included.
Did he like cars that much…?
She’d always thought he wasn’t particularly interested in flashy things.
Watching him meticulously inspect each expensive car, she began to wonder if he might actually enjoy luxury like any other typical chaebol heir.
Joo-eun sighed softly as she glanced down at her own outfit.
I should’ve bought some nicer clothes…
Shaking her head to dismiss the regret, she took a deep breath and stepped into the showroom.
A salesperson approached and greeted her.
“Welcome! Are you here to look at cars?”
“Oh, no. I’m looking for Director Minhyuk. He said he’d be here. I brought some documents…”
She awkwardly smiled while lifting the file she’d been holding.
At the sound of her voice, Minhyuk turned his head toward the entrance.
“You’re here?”
“Yes. Here’s the document you requested.”
She walked over and handed him a file.
“Documents?”
“Yes, documents. Why else would I be here?”
Her wide eyes pleaded silently: Take it already.
“How cute.”
His single comment froze the entire space.
The surrounding salespeople pretended not to notice, but their eyes darted around in surprise.
‘Oh, please… Why do you keep doing this to me…’
Joo-eun frowned deeply, on the verge of tears. He leaned close and chuckled softly, just loud enough for her to hear.
“Oh, don’t misunderstand. I was just muttering to myself about how cute this car’s headlights are.”
Relieved sighs filled the air as people returned to their tasks, nodding knowingly.
‘Are you really going to believe this clumsy act…? Am I that gullible?’
Annoyed, Joo-eun clenched her teeth tightly.
“Wow… You truly know how to pick them. This car is the most popular among young CEOs right now. Even if you order it today, it won’t be delivered for six months. But if you’re serious, I’ll see what I can do to expedite it.”
The salesperson, who had been sticking close to explain, grew excited at Minhyuk’s rare positive remark and continued enthusiastically.
“Well, I don’t know much about cars. What do you think, Song Joo-eun?”
“Huh?”
All eyes turned to her again.
Apparently, the suspicion that she wasn’t just a secretary spread like wildfire.
“What do you think of this car?”
“Uh, it’s… stylish.”
“Not me—the car.”
“Haha… Just joking. Of course, I was talking about the car.”
“Alright, but don’t clench your teeth too hard.”
Phew… She needed to calm down.
Taking a deep breath, Joo-eun finally relaxed her jaw.
“Well, I’ve delivered the documents, so I’ll head home now.”
“You’re driving, aren’t you? Where do you think you’re going?”
“Huh?”
“As a secretary, you should know better. Let’s do this properly. Secretary Song?”
Secretary?
Joo-eun awkwardly smirked, raising one corner of her mouth.
He seemed to find the situation endlessly amusing, playfully raising and lowering his eyebrows.
“Aren’t you going to respond?”
“Oh… Yes. I guess I have to drive.”
“This car looks great. I like it, but I have work to do today. I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“Yes, please contact us anytime!”
The salespeople followed them outside to bid farewell.
With a cocky toss, Minhyuk threw the car keys toward Joo-eun, who barely caught them with both hands.
The employees exchanged knowing glances, as if to say, Typical chaebol behavior.
Somehow ending up in the driver’s seat, Joo-eun fumbled nervously, unsure what to do.
Meanwhile, Minhyuk slid into the backseat.
In a voice so low it was barely audible, Joo-eun warned,
“Put your seatbelt on if you want to live.”
Startled mid-laugh, he hurriedly fastened his seatbelt.
For a moment, the way she gripped the steering wheel made it seem like she was holding onto her lifeline.
The engine roared to life, and the car lurched dangerously onto the road.

Though she’d aggressively merged onto the road,
‘Are we staying or leaving?’ The words rose to Minhyuk’s throat.
Fortunately, he managed to swallow them with great effort.
Having never needed to read the room before, he realized he did possess some survival instinct after all.
His Adam’s apple bobbed visibly.
Watching Joo-eun’s focused yet slightly adorable back as she drove slower than a turtle, he felt a mix of affection and slight fear.
The road was empty, mercifully free of honking horns urging them to move faster.
After crawling along for a while, the car finally pulled over to the shoulder.
Joo-eun spoke slowly.
“When I’m being nice about this.”
“…You don’t exactly sound nice…”
“When. I’m. Being. Nice.”
Her sharp tone made Minhyuk shrink his shoulders.
“Move to the front seat.”
“Y-Yes. Good idea.”
Minhyuk scrambled to the driver’s seat, and Joo-eun, glaring intensely, moved to the passenger side.
“Hmm. Are you mad?”
“Yes.”
Her immediate response left Minhyuk looking flustered.
“I’m sorry. Maybe it’s because I didn’t get to joke around much as a kid. I can’t help myself around you. Hmm.”
And there were plenty of other things he couldn’t control either!
Joo-eun whipped her head around to glare at him.
“I’m mad at myself for not being able to stay mad at you, so stop worrying about it.”
“Oh. Heart-fluttering.”
That playful expression again!
“Please stop embarrassing me in front of others.”
“Alright, I’m sorry. So stop being mad.”
“It’s not you I’m mad at—it’s myself.”
“At anyone, then. Okay?”
His large hand slipped between her fingers, intertwining them gently. Despite her attempts to stay angry, it was difficult.
Pouting a few times, Joo-eun finally turned her gaze to the window.
“Where are we going? It doesn’t look like we’re heading to my place.”
They would’ve needed to cross a bridge to get to her house.
“There’s somewhere we’re going. You can look forward to it.”
Her stomach growled, and she imagined a fancy restaurant. Though she wasn’t sure, she decided to let herself hope.
Smiling, Joo-eun nodded.
The car sped through Gangnam’s bustling streets until it arrived at a luxurious villa in Cheongdam-dong.
The security guard stationed at the gate verified his face, name, and even the passenger’s identity before opening the massive iron gates.
Wasn’t this supposed to be about dinner…?
“Are we meeting someone?” Joo-eun asked curiously.
Minhyuk stretched his lips into a mischievous grin.
