Psst! We're moving!
“What do you want now?”
Min-hyuk’s sharp voice sliced through the air as he confronted Si-woo. Dan-jung looked up at Min-hyuk, startled.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
Dan-jung was so taken aback by Min-hyuk’s icy demeanor that she doubted whether this was the same man who had kissed her the night before.
“Why do men keep showing up at Miss Choi’s place every day?”
“Well… uh…”
Dan-jung couldn’t think of a good response.
And why did the president show up every time something happened? He had said he’d come at 9 PM, hadn’t he?
Checking her phone, Dan-jung realized it was only 6 PM.
“I came because I have something to discuss with Miss Choi.”
At that moment, Si-woo took a step closer to Dan-jung.
“You should leave.”
Min-hyuk tightened his grip on Dan-jung’s hand and issued a cold warning.
“Me?”
When Min-hyuk addressed Si-woo as “you,” Dan-jung’s eyes widened in shock.
No matter how angry he was, addressing an employee like that was inappropriate!
And wasn’t this man a liar? Hadn’t he claimed he couldn’t feel anger just the other day?
Looking at him now, though, it was clear Min-hyuk was furious.
“Let’s go.”
Min-hyuk pulled Dan-jung toward the entrance of her officetel.
“Sorry, see you later at work.”
As Dan-jung allowed herself to be led inside, she waved apologetically at Si-woo.
“Excuse me, President Min, could you let go of my hand?”
Stopping in front of the elevator, Dan-jung tried to free her hand from Min-hyuk’s firm grip. It hurt.
Moreover, she was annoyed at her current disheveled appearance. She wanted to look her best for Min-hyuk, but why did he always show up unannounced?
“Oh, sorry.”
When Min-hyuk finally released her hand, Dan-jung rubbed her tingling fingers with her other hand.
“Did your hand hurt?”
“Look at this—it’s all red!”
Frustrated, Dan-jung snapped at Min-hyuk and thrust her reddened hand close to his face.
Min-hyuk cupped her hand in his and gently rubbed it while blowing on it. “I’m trying to make your red hand white again.”
“What are you doing?”
Dan-jung was baffled but couldn’t help finding his actions endearing. The man who had once seemed so distant now stood confidently before her.
“Well, even if you’re angry, calling an employee ‘you’ was uncalled for.”
Her tone softened slightly as she scolded him.
“What should I have said?”
“You could’ve politely told Si-woo to leave.”
“...You’re right. My judgment was lacking. If I startled him, I apologize.”
“No need to apologize to me. Si-woo probably felt bad.”
“I’ll apologize to him later. But what is your relationship with Si-woo?”
“He’s just a colleague.”
“Why does a colleague visit your home?”
“Well…”
Before she could answer, the elevator doors opened, and a group of young men stepped out. Min-hyuk’s brow furrowed again as he watched them pass by. Every man near Dan-jung now seemed like a rival.
“Aren’t you getting on?”
Min-hyuk hesitated, watching the men disappear down the hall, then followed Dan-jung into the elevator.
“But President Min, is it true you can’t feel emotions? You seemed really angry earlier.”
“Did I look angry?”
“Uh… what do you mean?”
Dan-jung blinked, confused. Was he denying his obvious anger?
“I simply thought I needed to protect Miss Choi from another rival. To do that, I had to make it clear that she belongs to me.”
“So you weren’t angry?”
“No, but I didn’t feel particularly good either.”
“Right… sure.”
It was clear to Dan-jung that Min-hyuk had been extremely upset about Si-woo visiting her. Yet, he seemed oblivious to his own feelings.
“Is holding my hand and entering my home how you show that I belong to you?”
Dan-jung stopped in front of her door and questioned him, wanting to stop him from entering so casually.
“Entering someone’s personal space isn’t something just anyone can do—except for someone you’re marrying.”
Min-hyuk emphasized the word “marrying.” It meant he believed he had the right to enter her home since they were engaged.
“Alright, fine. You’re surprisingly good with words.”
As Dan-jung opened the door, Min-hyuk followed closely behind, ensuring the door wouldn’t close between them.
“I hear that often. That’s probably why no one notices my condition.”
“Speaking of which, Si-woo seems to know about your condition. Could rumors be spreading at the hotel? But I swear I haven’t told anyone about it.”
“Really? Not a single person?”
Min-hyuk leaned down and whispered softly into Dan-jung’s ear.
“Well… I’m sorry. I only told my roommate, Jin-hee. But she doesn’t know anyone at our hotel.”
Still, Dan-jung had indeed leaked confidential information. If Min-hyuk was disappointed in her, there was nothing she could do about it.
Turning to apologize, Dan-jung accidentally bumped her forehead against Min-hyuk’s chest.
“I clearly stated it was confidential and warned you about the consequences.”
“Yes, you did. I’m truly sorry.”
But Jin-hee wouldn’t have told anyone, and she certainly didn’t know Si-woo. Lost in thought over this unsolvable puzzle, Dan-jung froze when Min-hyuk suddenly kissed her without permission.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her body flush against his, leaving no room for escape.
‘What is he doing?’
Caught off guard, Dan-jung stared at him wide-eyed, unable to process the sudden kiss. Their intimate position was embarrassingly awkward.
“Didn’t I say I can’t take responsibility for what happens next?”
Min-hyuk slowly pulled away and whispered softly, his breath brushing against her lips.

“Good evening, Madam.”
“Welcome, Secretary Oh.”
Yeon-joo greeted Secretary Oh and guided her to the living room sofa.
“I apologize for asking this so suddenly.”
Before meeting Min-hyuk, Yeon-joo wanted information about the woman he had proposed to. She trusted Secretary Oh implicitly and asked her to investigate Dan-jung.
“Not at all, Madam. I should have informed you earlier… The scandal broke so suddenly that I didn’t have time to prepare.”
Secretary Oh handed an envelope containing Dan-jung’s resume to Yeon-joo.
“What’s Miss Choi’s reputation like?”
“She has a good reputation. She’s been named the kindest employee three times and is highly skilled at handling difficult customers.”
“…”
Opening the envelope, Yeon-joo examined Dan-jung’s photo. She appeared slightly prettier than average but still quite ordinary. Compared to Hye-mi, Dan-jung paled in terms of beauty.
Yeon-joo wondered what her son saw in such an ordinary girl to propose marriage.
“What about her private life?”
“Well…”
Secretary Oh hesitated. She wasn’t sure how her report might affect her boss.
Deciding to stick to the facts, she spoke plainly.
“There are rumors that she’s easy.”
“Easy?”
“Yes. She reportedly rejected over a hundred date requests personally.”
“Hmm… Over a hundred rejections…”
Intrigued, Yeon-joo studied Dan-jung’s photo again. However, her interest wasn’t positive. For the future mistress of Le Soleil Hotel, being labeled “easy” was unacceptable. Moreover, Min-hyuk couldn’t divorce, so a virtuous wife was essential.
Convinced, Yeon-joo decided to persuade Min-hyuk to marry Hye-mi instead of Dan-jung.

“May I continue kissing you?”
Min-hyuk, still lingering within kissing distance of Dan-jung, sought permission he hadn’t asked for earlier.
“No, please don’t.”
“Why not?”
“It’s… embarrassing. And it’s too bright.”
The heat from Min-hyuk’s arms around her waist made Dan-jung feel as though her entire body was burning.
It was broad daylight, and today was especially sunny. She felt ashamed of her desire and wished she could hide somewhere.
But Min-hyuk’s arms were like ropes, binding her tightly and leaving her unable to move.
“Then close your eyes.”
“What?”
“If the brightness bothers you, just close your eyes.”
Min-hyuk, admiring Dan-jung’s flushed face, couldn’t resist pressing her further. His gaze locked onto her moist lips.
Kiss. For the first time, Min-hyuk felt an overwhelming urge to kiss a woman.
“Ah…”
Under his intense gaze, Dan-jung felt herself becoming increasingly aroused. If they kissed now, she feared she’d want more than just a kiss.
‘No, this can’t happen! We’re not married yet. He’ll think I’m easy.’
Having been labeled “easy” by many, Dan-jung didn’t want Min-hyuk to think the same.
“No, I don’t want to indulge in physical desires before we’ve even fallen in love.”
“I only intend to kiss you. I have no plans to pursue anything beyond that right now.”
“Still, I don’t want to!”
Embarrassed by Min-hyuk’s words, Dan-jung snapped defensively.
“The reason I initiated the kiss last time was to test whether marriage was possible. So please don’t just kiss me whenever you feel like it.”
“Aren’t we about to get married?”
“That’s not certain until we’re at the altar.”
“Hmm… That’s troubling. I absolutely must marry you, Miss Choi.”
“Well, could you at least loosen your grip?”
Reluctantly, Min-hyuk released his tight hold on Dan-jung’s waist. Though disappointed, he knew upsetting her could jeopardize their marriage.
“By the way, why are you here again? You said you’d come at 9 PM.”
“I have to visit my family tonight, so I won’t be able to pick you up at 9. That’s why I came early.”
“You could’ve just called.”
Dan-jung wanted to question him further but held back, remembering he was still her boss.
“I have something to inform you.”
“What is it?”
“Your schedule tomorrow has been changed to the afternoon shift.”
“What? Why?”
“To prevent your blind date.”
“My blind date?”
Dan-jung was utterly confused by Min-hyuk’s words.
