Psst! We're moving!
Some men are just too confident, especially Tang Yu—he’s overly confident.
I won’t let him have his way.

“Tang Xin?”
Tang Dingding was stunned and blurted out instinctively, “Isn’t Tang Xin Ming Zhu’s best friend? The one who helped you chase after Ming Zhu?”
“…”
Though it was true, Tang Yu didn’t feel like discussing this anymore—especially not with Tang Dingding bringing it up. He closed the car window, his expression turning cold as he sneered softly. “Tang Dingding, I’ve told you never to bring this up again.”
Tang Dingding blinked. Had he said that?
She pouted and glanced back into the shop where Tang Xin, holding Hua Juan, had turned to look at her…
Forcing a calm smile, she quickly turned back around and whispered, lowering her voice, “So… should I still let her rip me off? Why?”
It wasn’t like Tang Xin was Ming Zhu—or someone he liked.
Tang Yu leaned lazily against the seat, his hand lightly tapping on his knee. Suddenly, he stopped. He remembered Tang Xin once saying that whenever she was in a bad mood, she liked to help You Huan run the shop, selling things for however much she felt like. The more expensive the sale, the better she felt.
Today, she’d gone to the shop to sell clothes—and had ripped off Tang Dingding so badly that she called him to complain. It seemed she really went all out.
So… if that girl was clearly upset, why was she pretending to be tough in front of him?
As the culprit behind her bad mood, Tang Yu lowered his eyes, his voice softening slightly:
“I owe her.”
Tang Dingding froze, suddenly recalling how Tang Xin had helped her brother pursue Ming Zhu. She immediately understood—it was payment for her efforts?
Thinking about it this way, Tang Dingding nodded knowingly. “Alright, I’ll reluctantly let her rip me off then.”
Tang Yu suddenly felt a hint of amusement and smirked faintly. “Go ahead.”
After hanging up, Tang Dingding walked back into the shop with an air of composure. She pulled out her wallet, took out one of her own cards, hesitated for a moment, then switched to the supplementary card Tang Yu had given her. Smiling brightly, she handed it to Tang Xin. “Swipe this.”
Tang Xin looked at her suspiciously. Was she going to get arrested by the time this transaction was done?
She hesitated.
Tang Dingding blinked. “What’s wrong? Swipe it.”
Was she really giving up that much money?
Tang Xin stared at her, feeling conflicted. Could this girl truly be as naive and wealthy as she seemed? Well, if she was letting her swipe the card, what was there to fear? Tang Xin snatched the card and swiped it on the POS machine without hesitation, charging Tang Dingding over 300,000 yuan in one go.
You Huan watched in shock—300,000 yuan!
She actually dared to charge that much!
Looking at Tang Dingding, You Huan couldn’t help but imagine the words “naive and loaded” floating above her head.
“Please sign the receipt.”
“…Alright.”
Tang Dingding took the pen Tang Xin handed her and carefully wrote “Tang Yu” stroke by stroke before handing it back.
To her surprise, Tang Xin didn’t even glance at it—she simply stuffed it into the drawer.
Tang Dingding: “….”
She glared at Tang Xin, who tensed under her gaze. After a moment, Tang Xin handed over Hua Juan with a bright smile. “Want to pet the cat?”
If you spent that much money, at least enjoy some kitty therapy.
Tang Dingding: “….”
She stared at Tang Xin’s dimple, then at the adorable Hua Juan. Unable to resist, she picked him up and stroked his back. Looking at Tang Xin, she asked, “Do you know who I am?”
Tang Xin: “….”
Her throat tightened nervously as she cautiously asked, “Should I ask who your dad is?”
Tang Dingding: “….”
Shen Fei suddenly sensed something was off and whispered, “What’s going on?”
You Huan also shot Tang Xin a meaningful look. Was she in trouble now?
Worried she might have offended some rich young lady, Tang Xin was considering whether to refund the money and smooth things over when Tang Dingding slowly spoke. “My dad… Tang Haiming.”
Tang Xin almost blurted out, “Who’s Tang Haiming?” but quickly realized—wasn’t Tang Haiming the former president of Shiguang Films? Her eyes widened in shock. “Then… you and your brother…”
“Tang Yu.” Tang Dingding grinned at Tang Xin’s stunned expression. “My name’s Tang Dingding. Tang Yu’s my brother. I just used his supplementary card to pay. If you’d checked the receipt, you would’ve known…”
Tang Xin was utterly bewildered.
She had ripped off Tang Yu’s sister—and used Tang Yu’s supplementary card?
Watching this dramatic scene unfold, You Huan emerged from behind the workbench, smiling warmly at Tang Dingding. “So you’re President Tang’s younger sister. What a coincidence. How about this—I made some handmade items recently, all unique pieces. Since you bought so much today, consider them complimentary gifts.”
“Oh, great!” Shen Fei was delighted.
Tang Xin snapped out of her daze and looked at Tang Dingding with mixed emotions. Clearing her throat, she couldn’t help but ask, “Did you recognize me last time?”
Tang Dingding shook her head honestly. “I thought you were Ming Zhu…” She sat on the tall stool by the counter, swinging her legs. “I just called my brother and found out I got the wrong person.”
Tang Xin pursed her lips, unsure what to say. Tang Dingding obviously knew about Ming Zhu—and likely about Tang Yu pursuing Ming Zhu, or even Tang Xin helping him. As for the office gossip about her and Tang Yu, Tang Dingding probably didn’t know.
And as for Tang Xin confessing to Tang Yu and being rejected… neither Tang Yu nor Gao Heng would have mentioned it, so Tang Dingding wouldn’t know either…
Tang Xin smiled faintly. “Is that so?”
Tang Dingding grinned at her. “We’re from the same family—we both have the surname Tang.”
Tang Xin glanced at her, sighing inwardly. “Yeah… fate.”
Karmic ties.
Tang Dingding, now excited, pulled out her phone and opened WeChat. “Let’s add each other.”
If it had been earlier, Tang Xin would have eagerly added Tang Dingding’s WeChat, worked on building a good relationship, and maybe even extracted some information about Tang Yu. But now… after being coldly rejected by Tang Yu, seeing Tang Dingding and remembering how she’d ripped her off twice, Tang Xin truly felt like she and these two siblings were entangled in karmic misfortune.
Still, she glanced at Tang Dingding and took the phone nearby. “Sure.”
They exchanged WeChat contacts.
After adding each other, Tang Dingding handed Hua Juan back to Tang Xin and winked. “Next time, I’ll treat you to dinner.”
Tang Xin paused, then smiled brightly. “Okay.”
With WeChat added and clothes purchased, Tang Dingding and Shen Fei left.
Tang Xin and You Huan helped the two ladies load their shopping bags into the car trunk. Once they were gone, Tang Xin immediately returned to the counter, opened the drawer, and pulled out the receipt. Sure enough, she saw the neatly written name “Tang Yu.”
You Huan crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at her. “What? Regret ripping her off so hard?”
Tang Xin tossed the receipt onto the table and huffed. “No way. I regret not charging another 100,000. If it’s a supplementary card, Tang Yu must have received the transaction notification. Didn’t you hear what Tang Dingding said? She mistook me for someone else, and he corrected her…”
“He knows I’m here. He knows I ripped off his sister, but he still let me do it…” Tang Xin furrowed her delicate brows, pouting slightly as she looked at You Huan. “Maybe he feels guilty? Or wants to make it up to me?”
You Huan had only met Tang Yu twice and hadn’t spoken much with him, so she didn’t know him well. Leaning her chin on her hand, she pondered for a moment before looking at Tang Xin. “Do you want him to feel guilty, or do you want him to make it up to you?”
“Neither…”
Tang Xin shook her head. If possible, she only wanted him to fall in love with her.
You Huan walked over, picked up the receipt, and couldn’t help but whistle. “If we had more young ladies like her, I could probably afford a house in Beijing this year.” Coming from a single-parent household with modest means, her mother was in poor health. As a true Beijinger struggling to make ends meet, her studio was just starting to gain traction, and buying a house was far from reality.
Tang Xin knew she wanted to buy a house to bring her mother over. Smiling brightly, she patted her chest. “Leave it to me. I’ll help you run the shop and make sure you can buy a house soon.”
You Huan patted her shoulder. “I’m counting on you.”
Tang Xin’s eyes sparkled as she looked at her.
You Huan quietly pulled out her phone and sent Tang Xin a red envelope.

Tang Yu had already received the transaction notification while in the car—over 300,000 yuan.
The corner of his mouth curved faintly. So much anger.
…Had she vented enough?
If this was how she released her frustration, then… it wasn’t too hard to please her.
Speaking of Tang Dingding, before going to bed that night, she opened Tang Xin’s WeChat Moments. The first thing she saw was the post Tang Xin had made that afternoon showing off a red envelope. Her lips twitched slightly. Wasn’t she afraid she’d see it and feel heartbroken?
Scrolling down, she saw the post about beating up a “pig head.” She found it baffling, but what shocked her even more was discovering that her brother had liked that post.
Then, something even stranger happened—
As she scrolled further, she realized her brother hadn’t just liked this post—he’d liked many others. Occasionally, he even left comments.
Her eyes widened as she muttered softly, “My brother rarely even likes my posts.”
Forget liking—she doubted he even bothered to look at her Moments.
Like many rich young ladies, Tang Dingding’s Moments were filled with pictures of new bags, new clothes, and travel photos. Tang Yu’s WeChat contact list was full of such young ladies, and their content was all pretty similar—none as interesting as Tang Xin’s.
But…
Something still felt off—something indescribably strange.
Tang Dingding spent the entire night scrolling through Tang Xin’s Moments.
She discovered that her brother appeared quite frequently in Tang Xin’s posts.
This behavior was completely unlike him.
Suddenly, Tang Dingding became extremely curious about Tang Xin.
Compared to Tang Dingding, Tang Xin didn’t find much in Tang Dingding’s Moments—just a mention of “my brother” here and there.

The next morning, Tang Xin had just arrived at the company when Manager Du called. “The renewal contract has been drafted. When will you come to review it? If there’s no issue, we can sign it.”
Tang Xin was idly organizing the manuscript for Make a Dream for You. The book was several years old, and her publishing editor mentioned planning a reprint. Coincidentally, since Lu Zhixing was interested in buying it for adaptation, she was considering adding some elements to it.
Pausing for a moment, she frowned. “Manager Du, did I ever say I wanted to renew the contract?”
Manager Du was taken aback. “So… you’re not renewing?”
Tang Xin stared at her computer screen, thinking of Tang Yu’s cold face. Her heart ached as she bit her lip. “No.”
“That’s fine too. Leaving it here was just hoarding it anyway,” Manager Du said, not pressing further and actually sounding relieved. Saving millions of yuan meant they could invest in new projects instead. “Then I’ll cancel the contract on our end.”
“Alright.”
Tang Xin tossed her phone aside and continued working on her manuscript. Given how strained things were between her and Tang Yu, it was unlikely the project would ever be filmed.
In the afternoon, Gao Heng brought the documents Manager Du had prepared to the man typing away at his computer. Nervously, he reported, “President Tang, most of the IPs we discussed renewing have been agreed upon. The contracts will take effect once processed. However… regarding Miss Tang…”
At this, Tang Yu stopped typing, leaned back, and looked up at Gao Heng with a frown. “She’s not signing?”
Gao Heng nodded. “Mm…”
Tang Yu fell silent for a few seconds, his eyes flickering elsewhere. His palm rested on the mouse, long fingers lightly tapping the desk. Without emotion, he said, “Call her up.”
Gao Heng: “Yes.”
Gao Heng left, returning two minutes later with a troubled expression.
“Well?”
Tang Yu suddenly felt irritated. He rarely saw such hesitation on his assistant’s face.
G woman in the world would dare say such things to President Tang. He almost felt like kneeling and singing a song of surrender for her.
Looking at Tang Yu, he steeled himself and said, “Miss Tang said… she said she’s already found a ‘father’ to make her movie, so there’s no need to trouble ‘Father Tang’ anymore.”
Tang Yu: “….”
