Tess Buchsbaum is an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan with a keen interest in expanding her food expertise. Tess’ original interest in UM began with her exploration of the campus’ food and culture. She loved the many different cuisines, flavors, and restaurants on campus ranging from Mani, to Tomokun, to Zingerman's Deli. Growing up in Chicago, Tess was thrown into a world of deep dish and Chicago style hotdogs. Quickly, she became infatuated with learning about all new types of food, cooking, and baking. Tess cultivated food-based traditions by cooking alongside her mom to learn every cherished family recipe before finishing college. Currently, Tess continues to explore the various cuisines of Ann Arbor, and makes it her mission to continue to learn and perfect long-time family recipes when in Chicago.
