John is an Arab born in Amman, Jordan, and is intricately experienced in Middle Eastern cuisine such as baklava, maamoul, and shawarma. John believes his culture is significant to his identity because it has shaped his values and has propelled him into a kind, open-minded person.
John’s favorite food is dolma, vegetables stuffed with cooked rice because it reminds him of his family; both the dining experiences and the stories told at the dinner table. John says Middle Eastern cuisine is unique because it is both savory and healthy for the mind and soul. He is proud of his Arab heritage and encourages others to explore and celebrate their culture.
