Amanda Gebre is known to her friends and family as a Libra with a shot of espresso, naturally encompassing charm, compassion, and empathy. Notably recognized as a southern belle, her hometown is located in the southeast of Atlanta, Georgia, born with pride to an Ethiopian family. Amanda loves indulging in music from around the world, especially Ethiopian jazz on her parents' vinyl, where she can engage in dancing, her favorite hobby. She also enjoys designing fashion, playing tennis, and frequently travels to the beach every summer in Florida or Los Angeles, where she feels the most creative. She feels true to herself when she can be "of service" in a creative, artistic, or political space. Currently, she is a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Michigan with a plan to major in international studies with a minor in business. In the future, she hopes to attend law school and move to the Big Apple. Her career goal is to become a lawyer, filmmaker, or creative director, and perhaps all at once. Her ambition is to pursue wholeness instead of perfection, integrating it into her career and life in a city where her bubbly personality can thrive and her passions can always flourish.
