Haeseon Yoon is a freshman at the University of Michigan who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science. He was born in Seoul, South Korea but moved to the United States when he turned 3 years old. He spent most of his childhood moving around before settling in Rochester Hills, Michigan. His passion in physical activity stemmed from a lifetime of playing sports. His love for athletics was the catalyst to him becoming a University of Michigan sports fan, and as he matured, UofM’s high level of academic achievement solidified his dream of attending the prestigious public university. Haeseon now aims to become a successful software engineer who has time to pursue his athletic passions as a hobby in his spare time, while also being comfortable enough to buy his favorite cuisines. He particularly loves eating Korean food, such as gimbap, as he never took a liking to American food.
